Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen anything that was native to streaming regardless of Netflix, Amazon or Hulu move to DVD or Blu-ray. Also, if you're really gonna stick with physical media you need a region free unit. Just search for one on Amazon, they'll usually have a code you can enter to set it to region 0 which is everywhere.

Plenty of Netflix shows are on Blu. House of Cards, OitNB, the Marvel shows etc. It usually takes a year or so before they are released.

Given the speed at which Netflix is losing licensed content in favor of its originals (which seems to accelerate every quarter), like hell if I'm getting rid of physical media of stuff I really care to watch.

Use the cloud, my man. I have digital... backups of my favorite books, which Google kindly allowed me to upload to books.google.com for free, apathetic of where I sourced them, and can be read on any phone, tablet, or computer. My MP3 collection (with 10+ gigs of mashups, remixes, and unreleased material) sits in my Google Play Music library. iTunes and iBooks have a similar features. The source and project files for the lovely mashups I've made are backed up to my OneDrive (I get 1TB free from my wife's Office365 subscription). If I were to digitize my small DVD/Blu-ray library, there would be room on there for them too, and there are media player apps that can "stream" from cloud sources for when I would want to watch them.

...that said I do have vinyl copies of all my favorite albums and a battery powered record player so just in case everything goes to poo poo I can still listen to Radiohead.

I mean, it's certainly possible. The only porn I've found so far is clearly labeled sci-fi and horror porn parodies. Everything else is just a rad old man's horror movie collection. If it helps, I now own far more VHS tapes than Blu-Rays. Though I own a lot of books as well, many of them just because they've got beautiful covers.

Personally I'm more concerned about the series' ability to competently sustain the concept (since the comics failed at doing that) and am not really interested in two underage female characters kissing, but to each their own I suppose...

With the fall TV season coming up I've decided to do a little experiment. If a show does not have a thread the day of new episodes starting I will make it. These won't be high effort OPs but I would like to see if just having the threads available create more discussion.
