Said the spider to the fly~
So, quick question, have any of the Resistance Armor mods that make those options available for Kevlar/Plated/Warden armor been updated for WotC?

COMMENCE THE RITE OF SHITPOSTING

Oh god, not again.

So is there a mod for WOTC out that allows you to use any tier equipment for endgame out yet? The xskins system did this beautifully but it's not updated yet.

Also, there was a mention earlier of a mod pack with real world guns in it for WOTC, and beagle was showing it but I can't find it now. Did I dream that? It had a cool pistol in it.

My templar got a Rend off on a berserker queen, then a followup Bladestorm attack. No achievement for melee slaying her. :(

Finally beat the game. Did they scale down the last mission, because I don't remember facing only one Gatekeeper or still facing Lancers in the volume I saw.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. It killed the campaign because that was a critical engineer and I didn't get an engineer until much, much later.

It has to be a bug. That's like dropping a sectopod on you in May and saying "lol thats xcom baby"

It's not - you aren't supposed to face that tier of enemy yet. Can't imagine it's intended because it's basically just a "you lose" - if it's intended they might as well have a die roll that happens at the beginning and says "you are forced to evac"

I can tell you it's been around since vanilla though - without the Priest.

Yeah, it used to be an Officer + 2 Stunlancers in vanilla. I think if you've played enough Legend difficulty, you've probably had it happen at least once and scrub an otherwise perfectly good run (either immediately or by creating a crippling spiral).

I specifically remember that run because if went:

flawless Gatecrasher > first scan Engineer > second scan Scientist > first Guerilla Op: Hack the data for an Engineer reward.

Got to the objective (flawless), said-reinforcements show up and while I'm in overwatch waiting for them to land the last pod (2 troopers and a sectoid) wanders in. It was code black in 3 turns and a new campaign shortly after because gently caress hobbling back from something like that on the 2nd mission.

I've been sitting here for 5 mins trying to think of a joke to make but I just realised the animators of Mass Effect already did it for me

They're an earlier model, as I recall, so that may explain it.

Probably Skirmishers or high level Reapers with Banish.

Skirmishers can shoot innately more than anyone else the entire campaign and the Repeater can help compensate for their garbage weapon damage. Same for Reapers with Banish.

Backup would be Specialists you have who mostly just take potshots at enemies.

The black market, because they are stupid items that shouldn't exist.

I need to find a mod that replaced repeaters and hair triggers with something that isn't insanely low RNG bullshit.

There is a cool mod I use that gives Repeaters +damage on crits instead of instant kills. Which is incredibly good, but not really OP.

Once again I'm stuck on a mission that requires me to neutralize all targets and there is some single loving lost dude hanging out in a dark corner of the map while I have to fight off horde after horde. Why is there no mechanic that draws the remaining lost to you if all advent are dead? WHY?

I've literally run up and down the entire length of the level twice now since I finished off the advent. This is so dumb.
I had the same thing happen. It turned out there was still a pod of ADVENT on the map. They had spawned inside a fully sealed cargo container. I only found them because one of my dudes happened to hear them, I assume, patrolling back and forth in their little hidey hole. It still took me a while to figure out what the gently caress was going on. Thank christ I still had one grenade left so I could blast the container open.

I give 'em to specialists, since (especially with the overwatch perks) they're the most likely to have it proc in a way you can actually take advantage of.

If you're building a Skirmisher to maximize Waylay and stuff they'd also probably be a good choice.

Grenadiers would be third choice, since they're the people you shoot first with against a lot of tough enemies. But there's only so much room for weapon mods and the cannons often have other priorities.

All right, I've played a little more and I was wrong! Beta Strike doesn't feel like it scales super well once the Chosen show up. It is fun really needing certain counters though (i.e. flashbangs for sectoids). I'm going back to regular Legendary.

I give mine to Heavies mostly, for the opening shot on difficult enemies. If they aren't Executed!!! then their armor is shredded, and holo targeting is applied.

I'm sure we'll get another DLC, even though we didn't with EW - they didn't really know how to do DLC for XCOM EU

Although I hope they learn from CA and just release more of the poo poo we want - maps, aliens, missions

It's too bad seeing as how I had the Hunter painted with the Dinner Bell, but in my game he has Planewalker so the Lost don't slow him down until they hit game-crashing numbers.

THE PRODIGOON SON
I don't remember if it was said, but there is a new little end game cinematic clip for each faction. Kinda neat. I left one of the chosen up for the last mission, he showed up about 1/3 of the way in and had a unique line. Then he died and his body didn't disappear.

Hardest mission was definitely the 2nd one, which was an absolute bullshit psionic transmitter guerilla op. Probably only possible because I aced gatecrasher and save scummed the gently caress out of it. Total of 5 moves necessary to see the first relay on a 4 turn timer, plus the reinforcement pod of 2 lancers + priest? madness.

Time to do L/I!

Reaper with Banish can just as well take a higher-tier extended mag (Superior Extended mag and the resistance order means they have 7 shots in the magazine!) and brute-force the whole thing through sheer damage output.

All your frag grenades are automatically upgraded to plasma grenades once you complete their proving grounds project. No need to build any.

Annihilate's animation is glitched (for me at least) and it's hilarious. My Reaper fires one shot, the game seizes up for a bit, and then a bunch of enemies spontaneously die.

Each and every time you start a campaign, even if you quit on turn two of Gatecrasher and never save, still ups the number of campaigns. It bugged me when EU/EW did it, it bugs me that it's started doing it now.

So, the nice thing about getting to make the Avatar project timer irrelevant late game is that I get to play around with the DLC content I never got around to (beat the game before they came out and never really came back even though I bought the season pass like a derp). I'm basically playing with my food at this point with my absurdly overkitted and leveled soldiers on Commander, but it does pay off in the occasional glitch:
