Nice, almost managed a <1000 turn ascension. I can definitely see shaving off another hundred turns really easy with just smarter routing/pulls and more permed skills. Feels pretty good, especially now that I've got all the cooking skills permed and can hopefully get more than 200 turns a day really easily.

Try out some Accordion Thief ascensions soon, Ode to Booze/Sonata of Sneakiness/Cantata of Confrontation can really help your turngen and turn cutting. And consider sticking around until you perm Moxious Madrigal/Mojomuscular Melody/Power Ballad of the Arrowsmith. I still regret forgetting to perm the +muscle song a lot.

Other classes have high-powered spells or delevelling combo chains to get through battles effectively, but the only thing I can ever do as an AT is plink away. Plus having to keep the wiki up to remember what accordions are worth stealing. Am I missing something?

The buffs are nice when added to other classes, but it's annoying to actually be an AT because the buffs are all you have. Moxie classes can quickly become untouchable by buffing their moxie stat real high. which makes plinking the enemies to death safe. Also make sure you're using a ranged weapon too, since those use moxie as a mainstat for damage. And you should just steal all the accordions, because even if you don't use them, you could autosell them? Or just do what I do and horde all your items hoping they might one day be useful in a world event.

The passives on AT makes life a lot easier than back in the days of only 15 skills per class. There's even a couple of 1-handed accordions out there. Now, Turtle Tamer seems to give me more grief, which is a shame as it's my original class and I am fond of it. Doesn't help scaling enemies as a Muscle Class is just it's own kind of cruelty.

Never sell anything in the mall unless it's currently in demand as the result of a world event, a path, a PvP season, or just for what it does. Never autosell anything unless flat broke.

Buffing moxie and plinking is the name of the game until you get more skills or IOTMs. +10 from Madrigal, +some% from astral gear, and anything you can scrounge up in run like Codpiece of the Goblin King, pirate fledges, etc. Then there's Dissonant Riff and Accordion Bash to get you some deleveling and free turns in combat. You can also perm some of those powerful spells to make your life easier. I really really like Saucestorm as an early perm, it's super efficient and it carried me through a lot of ascensions.

Get a metal meteoroid on the mall and craft the shoes. +15% moxie and +5 adventures a day are both fantastic for starter ascensions. +30% init is also really handy for beating various init checks.

Disco Bandit has a ton of the best passives and some of the best active skills (hello cocktailcrafting) so they're a safe bet early on

Your first runs probably be perming advanced cocktail crafting and pastamancery in either order, then advanced saucecrafting. With those three skills you can generate basically twice as many turns per day as you could before, especially if you're in hardcore. Throw Ode to Booze on top of that and you're set.

I'm not entirely sure how this synthesis thing works, but you can wish to fight a Deadwood Tree, which can drop Spooky Sap, which it seems like is one of the possible ingredients for that effect. According to the calculator linked on the wiki though, you can't combine it with itself to get greed.

It's not like I'm really doing anything but farming meat in aftercore waiting for the actual event to start, might as well burn turns this way Also there's a chance to get new junk items that might be incredibly useful or completely worthless later on

Has anyone else here had experience with Customer Service? I've been trying to get my old account transferred to a non-dead email account, and according to them I have enough identifying info to get it changed, but the first time I tried to tell them the email I want to get it changed to (8 days ago) I heard nothing, and the second time I tried (4 days ago) I've also heard nothing. I'm wondering if I should just keep waiting, or try again, or what. I don't want to keep playing on my new account if I can play on my older much more awesome account

If you still have access to the older account, you can change the email address associated with it under Options>Account>E-mail Address.

I usually have a free deck of every card on day 3 so I could pull an elf card I think? I don't have a robotender though because it's bad. Anyways none of this is optimal I'm just trying to do nuns with +2,000% meat in hardcore

Robortender is amazing in aftercore, double-leprachaun, fairy, candy+random items-dropping, pvp-granting, epic-drinks dropping, +whatever you fancy that day. Having a hard time coming up with a familiar that beats it for aftercore.

Work Friend Keven posted:Stocking mimic, an easy 70ish lbs of Lep or fairy from tot, stocking mimic, turngen from giberer, stocking mimic, 10k each from spleen item drops by rotating spleen fams, stocking mimic, It is difficult to directly compare familiars since the value of different functions really depends on the zone. That said, unless I am missing some crucial things, robortender seems to mostly dominate tot, giberer, spleen familiars and in some zones the mimic. At a mere 50 lbs, the robortender gives +100% item, +344% meat, ~300 meat in random drops per turn, plus epic drinks & pvp fights. Value of the drinks highly depends on the monster phylum but even the cheapest sell for > 1000 meat. The only situation in which tot is better is a situation in which your familiar is very low weight and you only care about +item. A really conservative estimate of a 60lbs robortender's value per turn in the sea is around 2k meat per turn and about 1500 at barf mountain, which puts him above the giberer and the spleen familiars.

Wait you can feed it 5 drinks a day and the effects from all 5 last all day? So it can be a double strength lep / full strength fairy with candy and refuse drops all day every day? That's got to be the best option for barf mountain then at least...
|
|
# ? Sep 12, 2017 23:37 |
I've mostly been exploring item-only areas because they tend to be better (till prices crash anyways) in which case stocking mimic is straight up over 1,000 mpa in actual meat as long as you can hit your %s without a fairy.

I don't really meat-farm but spend quite some time in specific zones in the sea where I think robort ads about ~3k per turn for me. This is however conditional on a banishing strategy that I would not be able to keep up for an entire day or turns.

Yeah I think I see what you're doing... I calced what I'm doing at about 3.5k mpa (after expenses) so I think I'll spreadsheet that tomorrow. The pressure penalty stuff can be extremely efficient with meat and relevant item drops.

I usually re-start a run the same day as I ascend, or spend 1 day in aftercore so it is really whatever sells well to spend my remaining turns on in the sea. I used to go for sea cowbells but they haven't sold lately, I think a few more people jumped in on that action.
