I finally found a copy of the Saturn V rocket at a local store. I've been looking for it for months (at a non-crazy marked-up price) for my dad since Father's Day and now I'm facing the possibility that I may just have to shelve it until Christmas, which seems such a waste...

Give him a bag a week starting now and finally the manual for Christmas.

Speaking of the b wing, can one of you that have it answer a question for me? What's the name or part# for the little guns on the cockpit? The two little goblet/cylinder things. And are they gold or yellow? I bought mine used and it's missing those 2 pieces. I still need to get around to ordering those.

I wasn't too hot about picking it up initially, but it was really glad I did. The stand makes it look absolutely great on a shelf. It was a pretty fun build too - you start with the underside / flat part of the ship, and it took me by surprise just how big it was. Big Mean Jerk posted:UCS A-Wing and Naboo Starfighter are on my Lego wish list. A-Wing seems like an eventual certainty, but I doubt we'll ever see the N1. It's a shame, because all the newer curved pieces from the last few years could really make a beautiful model out of that design. Yeah, I could totally go for an UCS A-Wing. I don't know if it's my favourite ship, but its a solid design and Ive ended up with 3 of them on my shelf. Didn't they sort of do a UCS Naboo Starfighter in the form of the one with all the chrome bits? Not really sure what other star wars UCS I'd want - maybe a Tie Bomber? Tie Defender? Wouldn't mind a re-run of the Blockade Runner providing they didn't go totally crazy and make it a 500-800$ set. Actually, I might be for a moderate scale Blockade Runner, kind of like the non UCS Star Destroyers they do every few years.

![]() Does there exist a piece like this but with a clip on both ends, either with or without the plate in the middle (i.e. just two clips stuck together)? I guess I could approximate one by connecting two of these, but... it would be nice.

Picked up the movie Batcave set on clearance over the weekend and built it with the kids. It comes with 3 "empty" batsuits for the batsuit rack, but 7 spots for suits. I have enough of the sets that I have a spare Batgirl, Robin (Reggae Batman sans head), several standard Batman suits, and Alfred's classic Batsuit, so I just need to go get some extra white heads to put all the suits on the rack. Fun build, and my 5yo daughter loves the little penguins.

Or a technic 1x2 with two holes. They also have technic 1x2'a with a pair of technic pins sticking out, can jam poles in there if you want. Really depends on the application.

They still have the "I'm loving expensive" security bands on them I'm guessing folks are overlooking them.

Are they paying these MOC guys for their ideas? That's a really awesome set for sure. The blood is so convincing I didn't realize it was Lego. It makes me even more ill than lepin if they are just profiting off of fans though. Edit: did you change the link? Ah yeah. I clicked the IMGUR and then the link and it threw me off. Honestly might order that then. Thats an absolutely awesome build. Buying the instructions and bricklinking it would be preferable but I bet it works out to substantially more money and a lot of hassle. Where can you actually buy it? All the links I can find are reviews.

One of the imgur related things was the 6500 piece vernator star destroyer. It's huge and amazing. 05077 was the set number and that's far too big for any reasonable house. https://m.imgur.com/r/lepin/sAIeD

To not sound like I'm just advertising Chinese stuff, I finally put my Ninjago city on display, it really towers over the other modulars. Super fun to build, so many little details in it to give it life.

I just got done watching season 2 of The Expanse and I'm obsessed with the Rocinante. Are there any good resource for learning more about advanced techniques?

My son's 6th b-day is coming up next month, and my mom wants to get him the Assembly Square. I'm reluctant. Don't get me wrong: I'm not one to turn down a set like that, and it's not beyond his ability - he built the expert Ferrari almost single-handedly on his 4th birthday. But....it's extravagant af, and for those who have it: is it just too much for a 6 year old? My original suggestion for her had been the Parisian Cafe or Detective's Office, because he's expressed sudden interest in creating structures and building a micro-city on his lego pad (a 24x24 pad with a 20" square LEGO surface that I built for him). My mom just happened to see the "customers who bought this also bought" on Amazon and away she went down the rabbit hole. Thoughts?
