If the latter, what can you tell me about them? All I know is that they were originally going to be called advance wars but I guess they changed that so they're sorta to advance wars what maximo is to ghosts and goblins, a 3D series that obviously had its start as a sequel to the 2D series.

Battalion wars is a great concept ruined by some terrible ai and dumb missions.

Its basically an rts but you possess one of your units in the field and play as them while giving orders and you can hop to other units. The orders just sorta never work well enough to make it fun and its like babysitting

Go watch Jeff Green's Twitch streams of him beating all the souls/bloodborne games. It's kinda inspiring to see that they can be beaten by a 112 year old man who gets lost travelling in a straight line and has to spend the first 10 minutes of each video relearning the controls because he forgot.

Edit: Also I think he only got through No Man's Wharf by loser-clearing it, but that's neither here nor there.

The opening hours of Bloodborne are pretty rough. After the first few hours though there's pretty steep decrease in difficulty until like post-game stuff.

Yakuza definitely does too. I'm real proud of my bronze trophy for "getting a random civilian to light a cigarette for you after taking over a district" which only 5% of players have done. Also the ones for "treat a homeless man to a bottle of expensive champagne" and "win all pocket circuit races"

My favorite trophy in Uncharted 4 is the one where you stand totally still after a cutscene in the marketplace for a minute or two, to mimic a controller connection problem the developers had at their E3 presentation.

Battalion wars was a very fun series, it was an RTS lite where you controlled one unit like a third person shooter while giving attack orders to the rest of your group. The comparisons to advance wars mostly come from its very rock-paper-scissors unit design and its cutesy war aesthetic, the gameplay and presentation are nothing alike. Also like advance wars, the factions are obvious goofy knockoffs of real nations, but far more overt than AW

Swords with holes in them seem like a bad idea because you now make it very easy to get stuck in something or for another person to yank them out of your hands.

I always liked that the explanation for the gunblade was that you pulled the trigger and it violently shakes the blade, making your swings way more damaging. It's actually a really boring and realistic answer for something that looks so loving goofy.
