Necroposting to say that the Aubrey and Maturin books are amazing on audiobook, especially the ones read by Patrick Tell. I find listening to them much more engaging than reading, because I'm not tempted to go look up what a fo'c'sle is or what the rate of pay of a post captain was, I just swim along with the narrative. Sandi's white scarf reminds me of the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark about the lady with the ribbon around her neck.
