My take on the Russia thing is that Trump himself 100% had no idea because he's a drat idiot, but a useful one. There's enough smoke that something went down with Manafort, DJT, etc and that Russian botnets fed on our most brokebrained to make them think their insanity was totally normal. But Trump himself coordinating with Putin in a massive operation? Nah. There's no way. It was all about sowing the seeds of chaos for Russia. There's lots of lefty things you can do that make the system resilient against external meddling, the problem is that it involves a lot of state power and state power can't be trusted with the Republican party. So you're in this trap where to vaccinate the political system you need to enforce universal suffrage, and regulate media and campaign finance (remember how fair and equal time rules helped Corbyn?), but the moment the right wing takes that apparatus over we're even worse off than where we started. It's kinda like how Bernie's Medicare for All plan gives a lot of authority to the HHS Secretary, which makes sense in a vacuum, but it's a terrifying prospect when there's a bad actor running the department. There's also the pesky problem of the Constitution. It's like, the US has dug itself into a hole where a big majority of the political class operates in bad faith and can't be trusted to have the public's best interest in mind, so you have a crippled state that can't be relied on as the nexus of political power, so the power belongs to billionaires instead. Republicans are, literally as I type this, working to ram through a dog of a healthcare bill no one likes because they're more afraid of their donors than their constituents. Previously that problem has been solved by guillotines. I'd prefer to figure something else out here.

If you had told me that two of their best episodes were about MMA, I would have been incredulous. I think the games industry is worth looking at as an example of the worship of multi billion dollar companies, the abuse a worker will put themselves though, etc etc. It's deep capitalism. Not even touching the gaming community. Just the implications involved in making and selling video games in 2017.
