Awesome thank you! Rube, Jet Pack Madness and Dark Secrets of Swimming Pills are next on my list! I also really enjoy the episodes where a guy sounds almost mythical (Caning of Sumner and Broderick Terry Duel).

Jet Pack Madness is amazing cause it starts off as a typical Dollop, a funny recounting of the invention of the jet pack, that then slowly turns into the premise of a lost Coen brothers film.SalTheBard posted:Awesome thank you! Ten Cent Beer Night and Jet Pack Madness are similarly great in that they just escalate to an insane degree.

Boston Corbett is necessary. The Fine Cotton Scandal and Nim the Chimp are two of my favorites as well. Also, Michael Malloy as has just been discussed. Fed Ex Flight 705, very good too.

Phantom of the Open is the rare feel-good episode. The Welfare Queen is also great due to being an example of how truth is crazier than legend.

Jacques wasn't a villain, he just loved the marathon SO loving MUCH and wanted to protect the integrity of it. He was loving nuts, for sure, but not the bad guy you were meant to think at the beginning. Gareth likes to ask who the hero of the story is, and there were, like, 5 of them. I personally love the Shawn Nelson (aka The San Diego Tank Man) episode, but I've always had a bizarre affinity for that story, and it was just kind of fun listening to an episode and knowing pretty much every detail and wondering how Gareth was going to react.

What luck that an updated best of episodes recommendation is brought up just as I have along drive this weekend. Also no one had brought up the crazy world's fair slash Olympics episode up.

for me, the magicians episode was just as ridiculous as the jet pack episode, especially if you like when dollop episodes feature people who change their names over and over (and ethnicities????)

The Straw Hat Riot episode might be the start of Gareth being incredulous at the importance of hats. I think I made a list of episodes last time someone asked about good ones. Phone-posting, but check my other posts in the thread.
