idk i just think of the series as 3d castlevania, bloodborne and ds3 especially feel that way. i hated every gimmick boss like moonlight butterfly, ceaseless, chaos bed etc. but i love all the fairly normal stuff like O&S (i still dont think this boss has been topped in the series), im just not a fan of the weird specific things that's just waiting around for patterns. moonlight is cool looking at least yeah, and i love the music. capra demon is just a gatcha though lol

every game i try and make a guts/berserk character, but after the ultra greatsword i can't decide on the most suitable armor... i've decided the best look is armor of thorns, and in ds3 that + the wolf knight helm is just :kissingchef:

FactsAreUseless posted:It gave me more trouble than any other boss in the game, because I didn't know it was optional and it appears early enough that I hadn't figured out the weight mechanics and armor having different kinds of defenses, so I kept trying to fight it in the knight armor you get in the forest and just got obliterated over and over when my fatroll and zero magic defense wouldn't get me out of its slow-moving beam that follows you. its actually a pretty rough fight if youre low level and dont have the crest shield or something like it. its easy to get hit with its small fast beam attack and it can one shot you if you get hit during a roll

I don't think I've ever bothrted ti beat the butterfly without just summoning the witch lady and letting her nuke it with huge soul lasers while I run backwards and forwards up and down the bridge
