Hefner wasn't that smart. I once spent hours with him discussing Christa Speck. He disagreed when I said she was ugly, that Speck is unfappable now. He kept pointing to the girl's historical importance, which I didn't dispute.

The people at the forefront of said revolution were much more concerned with bucking / destroying the restraining sexual mores of their time than they were with creating a new and constructive (positive-consent based) set of sexual ethics.
