Our little failure foster Kirk had his neutering on Saturday. I was hoping this would keep him chill for a couple of days and prevent him from literally climbing up the walls, but it was not to be. He's still the same. Not even surgery can keep him down. Congratulations, Butters!!

How long has it been since you needed to clean him regularly? I am sure his weight loss journey has been extremely beneficial in that regard.

Congrats, Butters! We got our big, 19 lb orange and white fluffmonster down to 15 pounds, which she is forever unhappy about but now is much more active. It's worth the struggle! Butters has a clear body shape now!

Tiani is gorgeous, yeah, poor girl deserves a good home. I didn't realize she was declawed last time. I think Symba is another repeat, too. I wish I knew what leads some cats to go quickly and others to stay, but like I always say, if the humane society didn't know that I already have as many cats as my apartment allows, I would leave every shift with one under each arm. Uno was incredible, he kept me a solid forty minutes aggressively demanding pets and headbutts. it was like petting a scraggly old man version of my Cassie. Should I maybe do a little info writeup about cat cuddling in general? It's pretty closely adjacent to fostering (hence why I post my pic dumps here )

I posted this over in the Puppy/New dog owners thread but: The one with the blue collar is our new Rat Terrier/Minpin mix. Rescued him from New Rattitude (a rat terrier rescue); he's been fostered in Georgia and we get him this Saturday. Hoping that his presence in the house will calm down our JRT a bit.

Last year, when Snicket was very sick, I joked that my next cat would be a grey, one-eyed cat named Wednesday. Snicket is doing much better now (aside from going blind a few months ago), but she's still afraid of other cats and her health isn't great. But, guess who followed my friend home just 5 days before I was going to stay with them.  Right now, she's living in my friends' enclosed sunporch, but they can't keep her. They're going to take her to the vet on the 15th, and if bill of health comes up clean, I'm hoping to adopt her next month. Fingers crossed! She's so sweet! She wanted scritchies so badly that I had to hold my phone upside down and backwards to get a picture.
