There have been so many times I wanted to dig up something to compare to the current narrative, or just for a laugh (like C-Robbz talking about the "juke system" and how they needed fluid, unique animations into and out of 16 different movement directions at five different movement speeds, or the time when he casually mentioned that Squadron 42 had been redesigned as an open-world game), but they have produced such a massive torrent of nonsense that it's nigh-impossible to find any individual segment, even with the aid of transcripts. I'm sure the CIG braintrust never planned to employ the "baffle them with bullshit" approach just to cover their collective rear end, but it has definitely worked out in their favor. In addition to making it hard to call them on the ever-shifting scope and featureset, it has given the most trusting shitizens the unshakable belief that their pet feature would definitely exist, even if it was only mentioned once—5+ years ago—and promptly forgotten by everyone involved.
