Calaveron posted:How wealthy was Frasier that he was out of a job for months, kept up his lavish lifestyle and still managed to lend Roz money like it was no thing it was/is possible to make ridic money in radio as a popular host; a 7 figure salary wouldn't be inconceivable for a man popular enough to have his own day - top dudes like stern still have an 8 figure salary from sirius for e.g. tho usually you need to be in politics, money or comedy to have broad enough appeal

For a lot of the run Frasier is on Seattle AM radio and he still had that apartment and a live in physical therapist/maid and and.

There are eps where Frasier has investments going on on the side, and he has been a practicing psychiatrist for years. Kinda funny though given I'm up to where Niles' divorce is getting official and he has to move into a (still pretty nice) cheap apartment and it freaks him out.

Frasier was making like $200-$300 an hour for like a decade on Cheers before he moved to Seattle, and that was in the 80's when that was a ludicrous amount of money for anyone to be making.

Yeah but wasn't that in private practice though, like that's what he billed patients or their insurers. He wasn't just pulling in 2k a day for 8 hours punched in & out of the clock. He probably saw a handful of patients weekly or something, I thought Lilith was presented as earning more than him in Cheers.

I mean if you have 3-4 clients a day, that's still barely "part-time" but still clearing a grand a day.

Frasier was almost certainly the best at making rich motherfuckers feel better about themselves, with zero self awareness.

Rich people would just stare the hour looking at his skullet to make themselves feel better Well i don't know if he had it in Cheers, never watched it

Niles would fit right in around here. "I hate dealing with lawyers... but they make wonderful patients. They always have excellent insurance and they never get better."

in le cigar volant, frasier books the table for Dr Pleasure Dinosaur and he gets pissy when they don't have his table when he says his name is Dr Frasier Crane does he understand how booking tables works??

I thought there was some backstory in one of the episodes or maybe even Cheers that Fraiser had made some investments with his private practice money that really paid off.

One of my favorite gags is when Niles and Frasier were meeting at Cafe Nervosa and much to their dismay they were wearing the exact same suit and shoes. I like to think the actors weren't aware of this and wardrobe played a joke on them and they just rolled with it
