Yeah, I watched the episode this morning, and usually watch it weekly on youtube anyhow. HBO uploads it and they don't seem to go after the people that upload it regularly either.

You can't. Just like there is no way to convince people that 9/11 and sandy hook were not hoaxes. The best thing to do is get out in front and keep more from joining them rather than trying to fix the ones who are already broke brain

Oliver's not trying to convince people who actually buy into the idea that the civil war is about states rights. He's reaching out towards people who genuinely don't know and have no strong opinions in either direction. I know this mind blowing for some but the vast majority of Americans don't hold strong opinions about why the south seceded or the real causes behind the Civil War.
