The Vikings gave up a first-round pick in 2017 and a fourth-round pick in 2018 that can become a third- or second-rounder based on conditions -- a massive price to pay for what could amount to one season of work. The Eagles paid $11 million of Bradford's salary as part of the deal, which means Minnesota will only be on the hook for $7 million in 2016.

Wow, that was a terrible safety to take.

You can't do that in the end zone Sam.

With his knee he shouldn't be doing that anywhere on the field.

Someone described Carson Palmer yesterday as "waiting to take a career ending injury" behind his oline and that play was Sam Bradford doing the same.

Does anybody expect Teddy to come back and tear it up? Seems unlikely after being out for so long.

EDIT: By tear it up, I mean play well. Not have his leg fall part again.

Yeah, there isn't a rush, so you can use a different kicking technique if you want.

I don't know like anything about kicking techniques, I'm sure Pat McAfee will tweet about it soon.

Honestly the Bradford trade wasn't that bad of a move

The Vikings were looking at a playoff year before Bridgewater got injured and getting Bradford meant they had a shot at competing

Bad, very bad!

To follow up post safety kicks are a free kick from the 20 yard line. They could kick off like a normal kickoff but most teams prefer the hang time of the punt.

You can also onside kick the free kick which is fun the two or three times a decade it happens. And you can onside punt it if you want to.

I figured he'd probably take awhile to get back into the speed of the game and then probably end up being a bit better then he was pre-injury because their offense seems a lot more talented then overall then he had been playing with so far in his career.

I don't know if that means tearing it up, since he was mostly an average QB pre-injury
