The draw of BTCC in the 80s and 90s was that the cars actually looked like your dad's car. Those Volvo estates or the Renault Lagunas were brilliant. The closest today is the Honda Civic estates, but even then they have so much ridiculous bodywork they look like caricatures of the road cars.
