It’s going to saw off a big branch that comes straight down and wrecks the machine. I can only assume you’re supposed to manually de‐limb the tree first, but then what’s the point of having this thing?

I remember the last time this was posted someone mentioned that the guy in the final few seconds of that video is actually another person that got blown over the metal plate. The dude that was standing there before the explosion most likely have died and instantly buried/crushed/decapitated by the giant metal plate.

This thread has given me a strong apprehension towards forklifts that borders on paranoia. At work the other day a guy from a neighboring factory was helping us move some stuff with his forklift and some of our workers were just strolling along behind him as he was picking stuff up and turning around and backing up and I was all Don't walk so close to the forklift you idiots!! If they do that again I'm going to make them watch that video.

Carbon dioxide posted:Do they not keep main routes clean in California during winter? That's I-80 over the Sierras in the middle of winter, near Truckee/Donner summit. It does get cleared out quickly once storms stop, and the plows keep working during storms to keep the road open as long as possible. But that area gets a LOT of snow, sometimes in almost non-stop fall for a few days. Chain restrictions and closures due to snow accumulation aren't uncommon. 6k-7k feet, with 30 miles of 3-6% grade, in one of the snowiest places in the lower 48 make that a very dangerous road in snow season.
