When she relayed the story I'm actually not even sure why she bothered to leave out von Trier's name, who else could it be besides him?

Maybe she doesn't want him to sue for defamation and not actually naming him prevents that.

Anyone doing a Noir-vember thread this year? I'll be exhausted from the Horror challenge, but I'd be happy to find some new classics.

I hope someone does. I have a bunch of movies I bought from the last Criterion sale that I've been wanting to watch. I just hope the air is crisp enough by the time November hits.

I stubbed my toe at work and it still hurts like a motherfucker several hours layer. I hope it isn't broken. On the bright side having a lump on the other leg is a nice change.

I missed ramen chat last night so I just wanted to brag that within 3 miles of my apartment there are 18 ramen shops, 14 pho shops, 3 soba shops, 2 udon shops, and 2 dandan shops. There are some insane waits for the more popular ramen places tho.

I was ready to see American Made to start my MoviePass with 3 days in a row, but the 65 on Metacritic (despite the 87 on RT) has turned me off the idea, at least for today.

2 days. I only lasted 2 days. :negative:

Dude, I'm glad you enjoyed it, and that the sound of my gimpy voice didn't cause you to spontaneously projectile vomit.

Also, watch T2, still my favorite comedy of the year.

Oh cool, water is bubbling up out of the drain in my hall closet where the water heater is. These are the best landlord conversations.

Oh and the best part is that the hall carpet installation is super bad and goes into the closet up to the drain.

I thought about the live showing last august but i wasn't gonna pay 80 bucks for a ticket.

He did show up to Denver last year with Randy, I wish he would've came back. That's what i would've rather seen that.

$80? drat. My ticket was only about $50. I'm gonna have to bring an extra :10bux: and buy a cheeseburger from Julian if they do that again.

The entire eyewear industry is a racket. I ordered from 1800contacts this morning after a pricematch. I uploaded a photo of my Rx but it was from a Groupon so it wasn't a contact lens exam. They noticed this, said it wasn't valid, and said they would call the doctor to confirm, but that office is closed today. I just got a shipping notification, so I guess they said gently caress it.

Patient safety my rear end.

D20 Burlesque is dope as hell. On the 21st, they've transitioned their annual Lovecraft burlesque show to be generally pulp themed with a Stephen King focus. So like almost definitely going to be a Pennywise striptease.

The Night Bazaar in Green Point is alright, but probably more fun high.

Ride the Q train back and forth pass Dekalb to see a little animated art piece.

Get a city bike and ride that section of Eastern Parkway that is more or less a roller coaster.
