I grew up in West Texas and I watched it on a film projector that the library had set up. It was a summer movies thing and I was the only person that showed up that day. Everyone I have talked to has told me that I must have imagined it. Now excuse me I have to go find a VHS copy on ebay.

I also had similar nightmares as a kid - when I finally found the movie again and talked to my older sister about it, she knew exactly the movie and told me that we had seen it a bunch of times at my grandparents' house. Every time the movie comes up in a thread, there's always someone being blown away that it really existed.

No, see, it is good because Herman Munster is good.

And HBO played the crap out of the Peanut Butter Solution in the 80s. It's the only reason I had ever seen it along with The Quest. Both movies were fever dreams as well for me, until college and ebay helped to figure out what the hell I had seen.

Holy gently caress, thank you. I have mentioned it to multiple people and even brought it up on these forums and everyone was telling me I must have dreamed this movie.

I have helped so many people remember The Quest IRL. I loved that movie as a kid, and no one else ever remembers it until you see the monster

You are a standup guy. This is such a weird movie and the name is weird. Hell I was tempted to put in "boy uses peanut butter to grow pubes" in Google but I don't want to end up on a list. I had thought that it was called something else like "the Frightening" or something like that.

Try giving others a synopsis of the movie and its no wonder they all looked at me like it was a drug fueled dream. I don't think I ever knew the name of the movie as I watched it on TV in the late 80s.
