Seems like a pretty easy way to shut this down: every time some asshat conservative brings this up, they should be asked if they support stronger legislation in the workplace to prevent stuff like this. Conservatives will of course, never agree to such a thing, and will continue to be disingenuous fucks, but at least it'll show the audience that they're full of poo poo.

1. Don't call them racist as this mentally causes them to raise a barrier to your comment
2. Try to establish a common interest as people are more likely to agree with someone they share an interest on
3. Accept that you might be wrong

MY OPINION IS SEERS OF THE THRONE PROPAGANDA IGNORE MY GNOSIS-IMPAIRED RAMBLINGS

There's a running joke/meme that Ted Cruz is actually the zodiac killer. Which was a serial killer who was never caught that left behind puzzles that allegedly were clues to his identity.

Hilariously enough, it's literally the only thing that Cruz isn't a reprehensible slimeball/monster/half-melted wax museum escapee about. Ever since someone crashed a question and answers session to ask if he was the zodiac killer at a televised event he's taken to running with it and making the occasional self-depreciating joke about the whole thing. If you dig up the video you can literally see the moment when he figures out what he's being asked and he nearly cracks up with laughter.

quote:

http://www.newsweek.com/ted-cruz-zodiac-killer-twitter-688030]TED CRUZ TWEETS ZODIAC KILLER CONFESSION, EXTENDING THE INTERNET'S FAVORITE MEME

Just weeks after "accidentally" pressing "heart" on a pornographic video on Twitter, Senator Ted Cruz posted a screengrab Tuesday of a letter to the police from the unidentified "Zodiac Killer." Conspiracy theorists and internet jokesters have been calling Cruz the actual Zodiac Killer since 2016, and liberal activists capitalized on the meme during the 2016 presidential election, in which Cruz ran.

To those who enjoy the joke, it doesn't matter that Cruz wasn't alive while the real Zodiac Killer was killing people in California and sending cryptic letters to local press and police.

This is the post before those two. It should probably explain a bit:

I heard that poo poo too. Yeah, "too far left". Like 75% - 80% of the country wants relating to healthcare.

I was laughing my rear end of at Hannity today playing Kelly's speech about the military phone call thing. Kelly essentially explained WHY the president said what he said and how he arrived at is choice of words but the whole episode was about how offended he was that a democratic senator eavesdropped or whatever.

Lost in the whole thing was that while Kelly was explaining Donald's choice of words, there was no mention at all that Trump denied ever loving saying them and called it "a complete fabrication", so to me it amounted to:

Kelly: I'm here to explain why Trump said these words he claimed he never said and also to express my outrage about how these words that were never spoken were misinterpreted.

Lost in it all was that Trump outright lied AGAIN.

Yeah, that's the trap left in this. If left right now a lot of people have a problem with the stuff Kelly said but aside from the Congresswoman explaining herself as an actual family friend and not an opportunistic partisan like Kelly attacked her as, no one's really going to feel super comfortable going at Kelly.

But the big elephant in the room remains that Trump called the widow and family liars. Kelly and the White House want to get away from that and make this about respecting the sanctity of this but Trump is Trump and there's no telling if he'll just double down at any time, especially if a reporter manages to get in a question.

I think we can tell. the answer is always yes and when it's not he just denies ever saying or tweeting the thing we heard or read him say and can demonstrably prove.

I just listened to a big, dramatic speech from Kelly justifying and contextualizing the exact loving words Trump denied ever saying in the first place and no one is going to notice this disparity.

edit: Yeah, I mean the sanctity of what? What Trump said and what he meant by those words? Or those words that were overheard that he never said? Or how rude and obnoxious it is to eavesdrop on those words that were never spoken?

How can no one see the contradiction here? NPR didn't even call it out.
