unless you intend to magnetize it, just assemble it following the instructions. There's nothing really hard to reach when it's fully assembled paintingwise.

Yeah the Baneblade takes a while to build because it's so big, but in terms of painting it's just a bunch of wide open flat surfaces. Not much to it.

Yeah, total agreement there. I think more new models and less crazy good rules would be a nice compromise for the community as a whole.

It's real easy (relatively speaking) to make it modular so you can swap version at will.
https://youtu.be/rNxAd6O0LLU

I think the video point it out, but if you put the sponsons in the middle they fit with every variety. If you don't want to mess with magnets, the top hull sits in place on its own just fine, so you can at the very least swap between one of the turreted and o e of the turret-less options.

One thing that have tripped me up in the past: when you build the sponsons, the side panel has two different angles on it, one that matches up with the rear of the sponson housing, and one that matches the drum like shield. Thing is, the angles are close enough to being the same that you might not notice, and if you get it the wrong way around the guns will be much harder to turn, or even nigh impossible.

Or, you know, a crystal targeting matrix. It won't work a lot of the time (especially if you're trying to move less than 8 inches a turn) and you shouldn't try to force it but they only cost five points each. Fire prisms are FINALLY good.

I wish I had some loving Rangers. Could sculpt some cloaks on some guardians, I guess.

I would loving kill for some good alternate rangers that don't involve me either combining multiple separate kits or using a poo poo ton of greenstuff.

Totally agree, I would love some new aspect and character models. I think the alaitoc rule has got to be by far the best - applying it to all sorts of long range tanks and artillery, typically eldar's best style of play anyway, is massively out of whack with the other things. I have no real desire to use it with my army but it probably would be better for winning games!

Does anyone think 12 points will make rangers ok? They still suffer from all the same problems as before, really low punch and vulnerability to assaults/flamers. Just not as cripplingly expensive. I feel like their rifles would still need some sort of ap modifier to make them worthwhile.
