On 360 after a few weeks of abject failure because we're really good at video games we got to the last bit of health on HM Crota. I shield the swordsman as we go up and prepare to finish him and Crota steps on and kills him and triggers the Oversoul. By this point people have learned that all melee attacks actually hurt Crota, so everyone starts shouting at me to punch Crota in the cock he has an empty hp bar punch his dick. So, I start hammering away at it and the dead swordsman finally notices that for the first loving time the sword didn't clip through the ground, it's right there next to me so he starts shrieking even louder to pick up the loving sword and murder him. They're trying desperately to keep the Oversoul from detonating and right before we wipe I get the sword and shove it up his rear end in a top hat and win and all anyone hears is a cacophony of dick punching and sword stabbing and jesus loving christ. Weeks of effort and planning instantly degenerating into shrieking and flailing and gnashing. It was a great time.  My personal favorite though is the load times for the menus were abhorrent so in our raids we had to plan around someone sitting out for like half a minute to use the heavy ammo synth, so we learned to call it out so everyone else could form the Phalanx. each time I won in quickplay last night, matchmaking invariably turns around and puts me up with randos or one 2 man vs a 3 or 4 clan stack. Though it does feel good when you beat a clan with just some nobodies and no voice chat.

So if they aren't going to have random weapon and gear rolls, then let us build and mod stuff, and farm for stuff to do it. Warframe doesn't have random rolls on stuff either. Everything drops mats, and you get blueprints to build stuff (or components of that stuff) with those mats from rewards or artifacts (engrams) or the market. Let's do that here. Get rid of chest tokens, make them drop mats we can trade like tokens or use for crafting. Make specific mats drop from enemy types. Then you build stuff from blueprints you buy or get as rewards. Guns, gear, and legendary & exotic mods with NEW perks. Either use the existing mod slot or a new one. Maybe allow installing extra slots. Certain mods or a certain number of mods can make guns/gear into Exotics. Let us convert energy weapons to kinetic and vice versa. Maybe let us name weapons, if the DATABASES can handle it. I dunno, maybe it's too much like reforging and they'll never go for it. Just throwing it out there.

I'm absolutely astounded we can't craft/install scopes on guns. Seems like a fricken no-brainer as handling/zoom have an effect but aren't game breaking. I could see them being nervous about zoom factor given how it interacts with AA and accuracy, but in that case limit the scopes a gun can take.
