So the NFL might blow up again. The owner of the Texans Bob McNair referred to cracking down on player protests to make sure that "the inmates aren't running the prison" and the entire team had to be talked down from a walkout. Meanwhile their biggest star player (who isnt hurt anyway) did not show up at all today.

True he could probably be worse but don’t undersell the disastrous impact of blatant corruption at interior as he’s responsible for our natural resources. Beyond that the self destruction of another memeber of his cabinet makes confirmation even more difficult.

Dietrich posted:Dude blockchain describes a real thing that is being used for any sort of system that needs secure distributed transaction tracking. Inventory is a big one, where instead of keeping everything centralized you can use blockchain to allow every partner to own their own copy of the ledger. there are literally dozens of solutions to do the same thing and they existed for at least a decade before Bitcoin came along. What you are describing uses literally 0 of the innovations that Satoshi brought to the space. Zero. None. It's just a Merkle Tree that they're calling "blockchain" for some unknown reason. edit: ok distributing it is a BIT more than a Merkle tree but the primary innovations of the Blockchain are: 1. Busywork = ability to vote on the ledger's state 2. Distribution of tokens based on confirmation of the ledger If you don't have the busywork, you don't have a blockchain. Microsoft is as vulnerable to buzzword creep as anyone else, and this is an example. theflyingorc fucked around with this message at 20:32 on Oct 27, 2017 |

We're concerned that Whitefish might have overstated its connections with the Trump administration to obtain the contract," the Democrats wrote in the letter sent Wednesday afternoon. e- ABC article- http://abcnews.go.com/US/pr-gov-threatens-hell-pay-probes-300m-repair/story?id=50742628

Fuschia tude posted:Whitefish said they just called up PREPA out of the blue. PREPA said Whitefish was the only company to make an offer requiring no money down. Looking over the contract, it looks pretty true. From what I can suss out PREPA is broke and had no choice but to go with someone they knew was going to gouge them. There was no way to have a mutual aid contract with a guarantee they didn't have, which is what usually is required in these situations. The contract, was a bad idea and contained a lot of misrepresentation, but it's also fairly clear no one was offering any other contract, terms, or even assistance. It looks like a clear cut case of the mainland telling PR to get hosed again. Oh, and Whitefish gets to dictate extrication costs if PREPA wants out. http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/10/27/560422492/heres-what-s-in-that-300-million-whitefish-contract
