isn't the widowmaker nova skin basically just nova wearing a costume? why would any of the abilities change? widowmaker can't stealth or make clones and nova doesn't have a grappling hook. it still works. it could just be stitches wearing a roadhog mask and raynor wearing the Grillmaster: 76 outfit and it would be perfectly fine

Probably shouldn't have gone for his throat like that but he was asking for it.

Right. Giving them skins of those characters is okay. They’re trying to justify that hog/76 don’t need to be in the game because they have overlapping characteristics gimmicks. Morales should be reworked/removed because her caduceus reactor is just like muradins trait. Zarya/Tassadar should be removed or reworked because they both have stream attacks and shield people.

It's totally fine to have some degree of overlap between heroes and even expected at this point I would say since we have over 70 of them with more on the way for a good long while. You don't see anyone bitching about Ken and Ryu in SF.

Some degree of overlap is fine, but I'd rather new hero concepts explored than spend resources creating another raynor or stitches type hero just because it ticks off a "this is a character people like" checkbox.

I think comparing nova and widowmaker as both being snipers as analogous to Stitches and Roadhog both being notPudge is dumb. I think it's reasonable to ask whether having two hook characters makes sense, or if it would be annoying in a game that already has a lot of displacement.

They should make reign of destructions 20 upgrade drop some infernos and poo poo instead of slowing, maybe then RoD would have a niche and the upgrade would be justifiable instead of it being reportable to pick it.

What are the general thoughts on Junkrat now that he's been out for a while? I think he could use a little tune-up. He's good at clearing minions, but if you're hitting minions you could be left low on frags if you have to do hero damage (and you're not getting quest stacks). He's squishy as hell but doesn't have the utility to make it worth it, or the escape mechanisms. I think Rocket Ride could be a little faster too so that you could actually chase people down with it, anyone with a dash ability can pretty easily get out of the way and leave you accomplishing nothing. I dunno, it's weird because I feel like he's right on the verge of being good and sometimes I have games with him where I feel like a worthwhile addition to the team but I can't help feeling like he doesn't match up to similar characters.

He's not bad. I got 100% outplayed in HL by a Junkrat. He was destroying my positioning with his mine whether it was to escape or to initiate a gank with someone else. I'm not going to buy him until he goes on sale but I think a good players could mop up with him.

so this reminds of that time some guy playing Varian got really mad at me for being in his lane it was on braxis, a two lane map, and i only went bot so that both lanes would have a ranged character   him and his pocket Morales were grouped, I can only assume that his relationship with his medic girlfriend (who never spoke) was in great peril from being in such close proximity with a sexy Valla and this was in vs adept AI btw most of the time the only chat in vs ai games is a :gg: at the end. but apparently even the  games have salty chat once in a while
