I took some time away from mario to try out Blackbelly, and I only got to play Tower Control on it but drat this map is still inkredible. Its similar in size to Art Academy but it has like 6 routes instead of 1, matches are so dynamic. I love it

Ink Mines and Sting Ray do nothing to cover the short-comings of the Dynamo: the slow swing, heavy ink consumption, high risk usage, etc. Compare now to the Gold Dynamo Roller's set: Splat Bombs and Ink Armor. Evidently more appropriate tools for the weapon that gives the roller more maneuverability. The regular feels like it was made for someone comfortable in keeping a turf, but how are you supposed to do that when your team sucks? It's too reliant on your teammates. So if I had to choose a Dynamo Roller, I'd go with the Gold one.

You know what's fun? Having an enemy team with 3 stingrays on *Port Mackerel with ONE of them having a full stack of Special Power Up. Beams that occupy 25% of the map sweeping across the stage for most of the game with one of them lasting longer with no way to know if it will or not!

Seems like the balancing decisions have been far more reactionary without much thought put into them compared to Splatoon 1. Ink Armor is just okay now, and Ink Jet is nearly useless. The Aerosprays got murdered for no reason last patch when it was the Baller itself that was busted. And the Splattershot is like the most widely used weapon in the game by a wide margin for a long time, but that thing has been given very inconsequential nerfs.

The only time I ever didn't like the game was the baller buffs and everything else has been great IMO. The place it's at right now is pretty much perfect except maybe when people are running hella sting rays but that's kind of a gimmicky approach anyway.
