Man I love Strange Journey but also I hate lots of things about it like sector G being really unfun, sector E being really annoying and sector H being horrible. Also gently caress those macca stealing beams

Gameplay wise it's pretty much a complete improvement with the caveat that it's even easier than IV. Story wise it's a mildly interesting mess that is a sort of what if of the neutral end of IV.

It's some sort of sequel to the regular SMT IV, it seems? like people have already said in gameplay it is pretty much an all-around improvement over IV but its got some infuriating dungeons (whoever designed the last one can go jump off a bridge) and a wacky-rear end plot where they cranked the anime up to eleven It's still very good (imo) and the theme is a sort of continuation of SMT II in that SMT II is about the Old Testament God being a dick and Apocalypse is about the New Testament God being a dick

Suzuhito Yasuda constantly makes me look for the same character desings across his work. Like, Izaya and Enjin, Shizuo Gin and Kyosuke, The Orihara siblings and at least 3 of the Yozakura Quartet girls. If you like anime and super rad animation, though, I cannot recommend the 2 Yozakura Quartet OVA Series and 13 Episode season enough.
