I wouldn't try going off meta just yet if you're shooting for 5* G6 characters. I don't yet have zombie at a level that can serve any purpose, so I can't comment on the actual effectiveness. My final NS squad will probably be zTalzin[L], Daka, Asajj, Acolyte/float, Zombie. Acolyte can be switched around depending on what I need, same with Asajj, but Talzin and Daka are core.

I didn't have Chopper at 7 stars yet, at the time. I had all the rest at gear 8, Ezra at gear 9, and I couldn't even get close. It was a god drat brick wall every time. Good arena mods, too. I'll have Ezra at gear 10 by next time, and probably Chopper at gear 8.

God dammit, I need 1 more zeta to be able to zeta Number Crunch, and today's farming netting 0 out of a possible 4. Also, the official post about Rey's Hero's Journey mentions that you'll need Rey (Scavenger) to complete the journey, but that's the only person they mention. BB8 and Finn for sure. I could easily see Veteran Han and Chewie, assuming they make them farmable. I'll be slotting this one into the back of my to-farm necessary characters list, at least until we see what new Rey's kit is -- I'm assuming the event is going to be after TLJ and this will be her character in that.

We speculated a lot about this in discord and the consensus is they're at least going to make the journey require Chewie and Han and they'll probably drop them both into F2P right before or when the journey starts in order to manufacture the same sort of panic-farm spending that surrounded the CLS heroes journey event. Start stockpiling currency if you can, and think about buying han/chewie shards from the shops so you can get them 5*+ before they hit F2P. I'm having a very hard time caring about the next panic farm; largely because, for me at least, the game has been more enjoyable now that I've stopped giving a poo poo. I want to get my zFinn team together and I'm also farming FO. I'm sure they'll drop a few FO dudes after the movie hits. Hard node farms do suck though with ~3 shards a day.

I am preparing my CLS squad. All 5 are 7*, with GL9 on all except Obi One. Which omegas do i want for them? Are GL9's enough to do CLS without hundreds of attempts? I don't have a set of "arena mods" to put on them, so my mods will be alright/good at best, not great.

I couldn't do Thrawn with g10 Ezra and the rest G8 with arena mods. Who should I bump to G9? I'm thinking Zeb or Kanaan? Edit: Zeb needs 150 carbantis and 100 stun guns. Not sure about Kanaan.

Deffo up Kanaan, since he's your tank you wanna bait shatter/back-up plan with (and is useful outside of phoenix for jedi squads). Are you running chopper/no sabine? That's the line-up you want. Invest in some omegas that pay dividends in dmg or survivability as well.

The Thrawn event is all about survivability, so, speed secondary mods are fine and all, but you need to stock up protection on chopper, zeb and HP for kanan. Chopper protection up buff is invaluable so you regain your real prot while they attack you. Some crit chance on Kanan can be key to put offense down on the deathtroopers. Don't get me wrong, it's still RNG, but more prot and HP will take you a long way. I did it with all Gear 8, without Ezra.

I won't have any Zetas on anyone. The main motivation for asking about this is i want to spend some omegas on my other guys; right now i am saving all MkIII mats and Omegas for the CLS squad. Which Omegas are the most useful for getting CLS?

There are just too many better options for DPS. Just as a for instance... Leia would be a much better DEEPS in that comp, and you've got her for the same reason you've got Luke.
