Well, not saying that they are right, but I'd imagine CDC stats would include older generations too, and therefore skew towards the lower end? Today I sat next to a little old lady on the bus, who can't have been more than 5' tall. Frankly I was a little shocked when she stood up and I saw how short she was. But whatevs, I'm perfectly happy with my height. I like riding bikes, and bikes for tall people all look like farm gates on wheels, whereas bikes in my size look just right.

When my hairline reached the point where I had to buzz it short it actually boosted my confidence because I wasn't trying to hide my imperfection anymore - it's hard to worry about people "finding out" you're going bald when you go into the relationship looking like Bruce Willis in Die Hard 3.
