My impression is that while the NHL is really embracing the "2-way defenseman who can skate even if they don't score a ton of points" model, the "small and maybe not great 1 on 1 defensively but slick with the puck and can move it up ice but doesn't score a lot" type of defenseman hasn't really caught on yet

And meanwhile luke schenn sends someone into orbit or mike stone burns a hole in the back of the net. Like I implied though, it's a real headscratcher as to why we put clendening on waivers, if he's fine being the 7th d man then we had a spot for him and decent minutes ready for him due to injuries on the team.

Not really good at anything and a fairly crummy skater given that he's not big, but his passing is alright and he doesn't make a ton of mistakes. He's a #7 through and through

Clendening is pretty much only good with really sheltered starts or with a great defensive partner, because he can move the puck, but he's really bad away from it and pretty much only gets it when it is directly given to him.
