Persona 5 is way, way better than 3 and 4 as a game. Story's not necessarily better (matter of taste) but as far as actually playing it, 5 is like light years better than 4. For that reason you should play 3 > 4 > 5, if you play 5 first you're gonna be really annoyed by 3/4

the one truly irritating element of 3 is that you can't directly control the idiot children you call teammates, and both 3 and 4 have the trouble where you can't actually pick what skills Personas inherit, but other than that they're both extremely good mechanically.

glam rock hamhock posted:

Persona 5 is worth finishing if only because it's the online game in the series that actually manages to stick the landing, with the last part of the plot probably being the best part.

3 has an excellent third act and denoument though as long as you quietly ignore FES

3's last act was better than 4's but it was all a bit typical of the genre and not as cool as the bad ending

Shooting and Fucking
are the same thing!

Heat Signature is a good game. You go around in a tiny pod and invade hugger ships to do some burglary, kidnapping, or assassination. It is basically FTL meets Gunpoint with a slight sprinkle of Hotline Miami for the combat.

I just murdered a dude by hijacking a totally unrelated space shop and using its guns to blow a hole in the hull of my target's ship causing him to get sucked into space where he suffocated. His body is probably still flying around since once things get started they don't stop till they hit something.

Good point keep talkin

Michael Clayton is so weird to me because when I first saw it I thought it was just okay and never planned on thinking about it again. Then my dad wanted to watch it so I watched it again and ended up loving it and I think I've loved it more every time I've watched it since.

Grisham's older books are quite good. He stopped giving a poo poo somewhere in the late '90s, though. I think The Partner is where I started to lose interest, and around the time of The Summons he had just gone off the rails.

I read The Firm in high school because the grocery store I worked at had copies to spare for some reason and gave them to us. I actually do recall liking it, and the film version. I guess A Time to Kill is also a decent movie.

Jackie Brown ends on a long shot of a woman driving a car, it’s not exactly the same but it’s close.

Don't forget to show my shitposts to the people. They're well worth seeing.

My favorite part of Ultron is that they realized they can't let the villain's criticisms of the Avengers even be a strawman, he has to be downright incoherent or the whole edifice crumbles.

No wait actually my favorite part of Ultron is the heroes just hanging out being assholes, which has been my favorite part of all of the movies (esp. Thor). I wish they'd just embrace it and make SuperSeinfeld, but Stan Lee isn't returning my calls.

I like it when movies end like this, with just lingering shots of the main character coming to terms with the events of the movie. The Graduate and Safe (1995, dir. Todd Haynes) jump to mind.
