It’s annoying trying to find real comparisons when there are people on reddit who change their TV picture setting to the faux-“HDR” mode and people are praising it. Yeah I always feel YouTube videos are difficult to really use for comparison because it is like two steps removed from the real thing. Sounds like there is a significant difference though. I hear GameStop nearly sold out so it may be hard to find one.

I saw that too but my local GameStops and all three Best Buys within 10 miles show stock so I may end up just ordering for pickup tomorrow since I’m a terrible consumer that just wants another new toy but I am hoping to find some more comparisons before I pull the trigger.

There is a marked difference moving from AC Origins on the original Xbox One to the X. Incredibly sharp, way more vibrant and no frame rate drops that I was getting on the Xbone.

Put in Crimson Skies last night to play it with more pees and was amazed at how well it held up. loving Star Wars with propellers, basically. Good poo poo. Shame it's stuck in 4x3.

Pretty much my assessment as well. Remarkable quality of life improvements, almost any action earns you loot in some form, still solid gunplay. But I'm not the kind of person to grind the poo poo out of it. I like that the game is much more suited to my play style of "I have 70 minutes before the lady friend gets home, lemme run some public events and knock out a challenge."

Because all anybody in this thread can do is poo poo on anything. I end up going to the Xbox One reddit for anything useful. I put in a good 40-50 hours into Destiny 2 and felt I got more than my money’s worth. Everything PVE wise seemed drastically improved. Enjoyed the story. Had me hooked for a little while. The content will get better with the DLCs just as Destiny 1 did. PVP isnt as great. But I thought it was Destiny 1 but without the bullshit. One of my favorite games in a while. Excellent game to have around for a few hours before work or before the lady gets home.

Bungie said it was their simulation getting bottlenecked by cpu. People are down on destiny cause its a treadmill of tired gameplay concepts that seems designed to just trap psychologically susceptible players in the gameplay loop aka its an activision game

Yeah its alright, I just fell off it because of all the other releases that have subsequently come out this Fall and I'm just prioritizing the ones that have been enhanced for Xbonx so far.

And the people who play a game for like 20 or less hours and move on to another game surprise, they did that with destiny 2 anyway! Its not a good game for the hardcore and has no reason for casuals to play it any longer after they blow through most of the content.

Destiny 2 balancing for PvP made PVE less fun, there isnt really any content after the story other than the Raid and the lust of watching numbers gently go up, PvP is E-Sports so its trash to actually play. I bought it, did my time, realized the raid didnt even have a lot of shooting and was mostly puzzles, and will never play it again.

Not about the Xbonx but can someone give me a general Xbox One answer? I haven't tried the Play Anywhere feature until now. I have Cuphead and Shadow of War on my bone. On my PC, if I find Cuphead in the store, it has the "Install" button, but SoW only has "Buy". Only thing I can think of is Cuphead is a digital purchase, but SoW is a disc. I think the disc buy should still work right? If I load the Xbox app on my PC, it even shows I've played SoW but linking to the game page shows "Buy". edit: looks like it's digital only. Yeah the Play Anywhere stuff is digital-only. If you own an Xbone game on disc, you can ONLY play it on an Xbone.

I fuckin love the xbonx dudes, I didn't really expect to enjoy it this much. Xbox live is still better than PSN and Wolfenstein/Battlefront look incredible, with no fuckin technical issues. And the controller is the best by a mile of course.

Someone pointed out the games tested were not Xbox one x enhanced. It could be that it's using the extra ram to speed up loading somehow, but it only works internally? Still, that's impressive that its just as fast as a SSD. Usb3 and sata3 have pretty similar transfer speeds don't they? So there's no bottleneck there.
