No, their infantry is loving amazing, but you need to invest in their melee red line. It's like Honest Steel, but for literally the entire army. I think it might even have better bonuses on top of that.

realize durthu and his treedudes are just straight up unkillable at a point. like i've had scenarios of me vs 10+ chaos armies with a 10/20 stack of treemen under durthu and they beat all 10 chaos armies and didn't even get brought to 75% health.

Wood Elf infantry get so broken once you're done with the tech tree and redline bonuses that you can literally put your whole frontline in a single locked group, right click on the enemy force and it's pretty much settled.

Can anyone recommend a mod that increase the Skaven presence in the old world(if any such mod exist)?
Currently they are either wiped out within the first 20 turns every campaign or sit around with just one settlement for 100 turns doing nothing until other factions bulldoze them.

A mod that adds them as hordes or rouge armies that respawn every now and then would be real cool and fitting, but biggest wish would be a mod that would spawn Skaven from ruins that where left alone for X turns, but I assume such a mod would be impossible?

Nah, they nerfed that skill in ME, it's just +8/+8 now, same as Honest Steel. Couple of other red skills also look nerfed a touch, they aren't really better than any other faction's bonuses now other than being army-wide.

Outriders are really amazing against skaven, easily 200-300 kills per battle, in multiplayer.

This is actually something you can do too. It's just that it only works with coastal cities, so you may not have noticed, but if say, Altdorf is under siege, and you have an army there you want somewhere else, and are confidant the garrison can take care of itself, you can totally just sail away on the river Reik.

I can have moments of... eccentricity and sometimes be quite curious about things. Please forgive me if I do something foolish or rude.

My mod to make Yvresse a misty hellscape that is no fun to play in is 95% done I've just got to decide on the final effects values and hope I don't break everything when I paste 3 separate packs together.

I'm sorry, I have no modding knowledge whatsoever. Just wanted to post that your whole project already sounded interesting when you first wrote about it, and I'm definitely going to try it out. Good luck with it, I'm looking forward to downloading it from Steam once you're finished :)

I went to war with the VCs and got jumped by 2.5 stacks, Ghorst, Manny and a generic, after moving too far into the fog of war. Fairly high end, lots of grave guard, some corpse carts/coaches/black knights and varghulfs. I'm not entirely sure what happened but I somehow gave attack orders to a couple units of Dryads and they got pulled way out of position. Thankfully I'd already managed to snipe a couple of varghulfs, but my lines completely collapsed, Pendulum was mostly ineffective and everything was hosed. Durthu soloing like 10 units for half the battle, my two tree kin just refusing to die and the Branchwraith chain-casting Earth Blood managed to barely squeak a win after finally downing Ghorst.



No such thing as a Pyrrhic victory if you've still got an army at the end of it :shepface:

Finishing the game with everyone else's continues
The other important thing to remember about Wood Elves is in their little outposts you can build a structure that does a tiny little buff to your armies factionwide. This buff stacks. I might be doing it wrong but I pretty much don't build anything else in my outposts when I Wood Elf, and I play them to green the entire map over so it definitely adds up.

First thing I always do once I get Durthu confederated into my army is send him north. He really loves killing Norscans.

Speaking of the joy of killing, in my current Greenskin campaign experience killing the Dwarf faction in under 30 turns has resulted in the Bloody Handz tribe growing quite large. Wurrzag has subdued the entirety of the Border Princes and has yet to suffer from infighting running him down. I don't think he's built a second army either, he's just a one-prophet dance party and I'm waiting to see if he continues north to smash up the Vampire Counts, south to take some more Savage Orc territory, or west to go beat up the dwarf strongholds and anyone else down that way. All I know is he's not going east cause that's where Grimgor is and Wurrzag loves what I'm doing to the place (murdering my way up and down the mountainside). I don't have the heart to confederate him knowing what it does to his savage orc upkeep. I'm hoping we just stay best buddies forever and maybe one day we'll both just go murder the entirety of Ulthuan together.

After finally playing most of the Vortex campaigns I think Elf-Vader is my favourite. Compared to Tyrion his Upkeep reduction also works on endgame line infantry, he gets a dragon so his melee stats aren't wasted by having to walk over where he is needed. He is also the only flying caster Lord and his "downside" is that he levels the home armies. Finally the Power of Darkness spell means it doesn't feel like such a waste to skip out on Arcane Conduit. Though I'm still not quite sure how it compares in terms of power reserves.

Not to oversell it but it's turning out kind of boring. Most of the little effects I thought about adding are accomplished through a point of local chaos corruption (which effects public order which effects growth, income etc.)

For all the jumping through hoops I've had to do it's probably less impactful than any of the 3 line building mods I made.

I'll probably have a version up later today.

On one hand we can be pretty sure he's far from the only nazi in the TW community but on the other at least one man you talk to every day has probably sexually assaulted someone and several people you socialise with hold racist views and your sweet old neighbour is likely a homophobe.

I'm not sure what my point is but I think there's a difference between refusing to support an openly nazi modder and being scared of using other mods in case they're made by secret nazis

Oh cool. I loved playing as the Irish in ME1:VI. Gallowglasses and Bonnachts were fun variants to the usual ME1 unit types and everything died a lot faster in VI than ME.

The more important reason not to use SFO is it's not a good mod. I've tried it twice now and I have no idea why/how people recommend it.
