No. You're not going to enjoy the raid if you do that.

I will fully admit that the Warlock glide is the most entertaining jump If the game didn't want to sprinkle platforming and vertical ledge climbs into a shooter alongside "Titan has a goddamned jetpack", I think literally everyone would love Warlock jumps the most. But I don't HAVE to "Git Gud" with Hunter and Titan jumps to save me nine times out of ten when something sends me off a ledge without me wanting to go off it. Then Git Gud and watch Warlock jumps still fail to lift me up and I get to slowly watch myself sink away from a ledge, or I continue to sail across a sea of electric vex milk because I got punted after reviving someone. "Holy poo poo, did they buff the inverted spire boss's knockback x100 since yesterday-Oh wait I'm playing a Warlock today" Addendum: Hunter Jumps make me wish for Warlock jumps in any horizontal or downward sequence. Regardless of which jump type it is. So I wish I had the Titan jetpack when playing a Hunter as often as I do with Warlock. Warlock jumps may get the most overt issues with their lack of inherent ups after gently caress ups. But all the Hunter Jumps feel like they were deliberatly handicapped in one way or another compared to their description. Weakest rear end triple jump I've ever seen for example. My first time through the lost city at the end of the main plot, every one of my Hunter deaths was because your Hunter becomes a rubber superball if you touch walls when trying to leap between buildings. I didn't have that issue with Warlock, just different issues with warlock. Section Z fucked around with this message at 00:03 on Nov 15, 2017 |

I mean whatever. Some folks don't understand how to use blink. I absolutely hate glide jump, but gently caress me.. Who cares? God bless y'all for being good something I'm not. But in pvp Blink is far superior

Raid mobs will chew you up, and you'll waste revive tokens. If you're really good a dodging shots and stuff, I guess you could power through it, but it will be rough.

Strafe glide for regular pve, burst for the raid and nightfalls, and blink for pvp. That has served me well and gives me some variation. I do occasionally get jealous of how quick non-warlocks can get vertical. Donnerberg posted:As someone that got stuck at 8 mobility with the fashion mini-game, the triple jump became super acrobatic. If you're sub-270 in the raid you're gonna be a drag on your team and you're not going to be having any fun. Sub-280 can even be a little dicey depending on class/weapons/skill.

Uriel and the Number are the same gun, but Uriel is better for pvp and the number is kinda better for pve, but its a personal preference. I prefer the number because it has a sick rear end FWC paint job.

Donnerberg posted:As someone that got stuck at 8 mobility with the fashion mini-game, the triple jump became super acrobatic. You can skip every second platform at the Inverted Spire. Yeah the problem wasn't failing to make the jumps. The problem was making the jumps with tons of room to spare, but it deciding that touching the wall on the other side = bounce backwards to my doom. Or other odd physics like clipping a slope on my way up deciding to launch me 90 degrees backwards. Or making an "easy" drop down a shaft during the Titan story missions only to brush up against a wall and triple jump + 7 mobility not being enough to counteract that to let me land on the doorway platform, etc. High mobility at the time, if anything, probably just encouraged faster physics engine sendoffs the occasions they happened to my Hunter. It's 33% per Event and there's only two places they spawn. The places are near each other, they spawn with good frequency and they're always ones that can be done quickly. It's a very fast Flashpoint.

Kills several 18 mags worth of headshots with his scout rifle making sure not to reload. MIDA quest progress? 17 precision kills, 5 "kills without reloading" Uh, what the gently caress? I know it is only a matter of time, but come on. Is there an invisible timer on the kills without reloading? Do the "I counted out loud" 30 fallen trash mobs I clicked heads on between double tapping cabal only half count? Or maybe the Skyburner's quirks are just loving with the counter? Fiiiine I'll use a call to serve instead of my fun Red Legion reskin gun. Chaining headshoots is also harder than usual when you've got an old chair you've even refurbished finally giving it's gasping breaths of death. Nothing like maneuvering your aim when your chair suddenly dips another quarter inch unceremoniously for practice in landing headclicks under pressure. EDIT: Pornographic Memory posted:i admit i did not extensively test this but as far as i could tell the "kills without reloading" only ticks up once per magazine This would certainly slow things down. My working theory for why killing more than twice as many people as it says for the "Just get kills" counter, is the possibility it only wants one shot kills. No idea why killing 50+ people with headshots only gave me "17" though. The "multi kill" is still being a fuckwith with my call to serve if I hold off in reloading or reload every two kills. Time to try out an even MORE boring gun in case the tripple tap is confusing the logic about "reloads" or something. Mysterious fuckery like this bothers me more than if the goal had been something outlandish like 1,000 headshot kills. "Good job, you killed literally 18 people in a row with headshots and no reloads! Three times in a row! That counts as 5 chain kills and 17 normal kills" Section Z fucked around with this message at 03:15 on Nov 15, 2017 |
