Just wanted to give an update on this LP, I haven't had a whole lot of time in the last month to just sit down and do LP things, which is why the bonus mission videos have yet to go up. Hopefully I can make some time this weekend to get back into the swing of things and get the rest of the Season 1 stuff up for this LP. For those not following the Hitman thread, the tldr is that the GOTY edition will have four new missions and some new costumes/weapons/challenges. If you already own the game it's a 20 dollar upgrade cost.

Another thing of note is that 100% of the profits from the GOTY edition of the game goes directly to IO, the developers of the Hitman franchise, as they're self-publishing this themselves. Square Enix isn't getting a dime. So, this is basically the perfect time to jump in on this game if you haven't yet.

personal value assessment: you get 2 decent alternate maps of Sapienza & Bangkok, 1 very short but gloriously fun version of Colorado, and a Hokkaido that has a simple but ingenious mechanical complication. Is it worth 20? Overall, I think yes, but only if you are the type who goes through each map and gets all of the opportunities & most of the assassination challenges. Additionally, the Sapienza map has some great moody ambient music, with a brutal (and entertaining) conversation somewhere in there.

Eh, I imagine that the lady who just destroyed the Agency's entire infrastructure (somehow?) would have been able to fake her death after being shot and left for dead by 47 once he got them all to chase him for stealing Ellen Page.

She's still 47's handler and friend in the sequel we've already seen, so stands to reason 47 didn't actually kill her and indeed they probably cooked up this plan together. Guessing the new guy in charge of the ISA is the main villain.

Well 2016 is kind of a quasi-reboot of the franchise so you can ignore almost all of the games before it. Especially Absolution.

The contrast between Absolution and 2016 is pretty stark. In absolution they went for the story, and got it wrong in many ways. In 2016 they went for the game play and got it right in many ways.
