I really feel like in spite of concerted efforts by many to shift the Overton window to the right, people as a whole have had about enough of the right wing clown show/ being bullshitted to over and over for almost 4 decades. Of course they're still terrified of people of colour, Islam and safe schools, so there's plenty to do, but there's still plenty to be optimistic about.
