A lot of fans seem to think of this as a complete asspull, but I’d say it’s less of a Deus Ex Machina than Star Finger. I think of it as Star Platinum’s super strength applied to its lungs.

A thing at this time Hol Horse was intended to join the party around this point. But Araki felt he was too similar to Polnereff and that his Gun Stand was too powerful, and there were very little solutions in future stand fights were it could not easily take out the enemy stand user.
