Guys, find a woman who looks at you the way GhostStalker looks at every bald, obese, single 58 year old accountant from Tulsa who managed to win $4,000 by not wagering on a Final Jeopardy triple stumper.

So I was working AnimeNYC this past weekend (great first year Con, run by the guy who used to do New York Anime Festival for ReedPop before it was folded into New York Comic Con, before he left a couple years ago to form his own company and bring a proper anime con back to NYC. Peter Tatara really is good people), and walking around the show floor Saturday afternoon, I came across the Kinokuniya booth. Since they're one of the main sponsors of the con, I figured I might as well take a look around what they had to offer, and found a bunch of Aqours and Muse art books, plus a bunch of their CDs for sale, which I had been looking for at their Bryant Park location.

I picked up two: Kowareyasuki (because Guilty Kiss best subunit) and Mirai no Bokura wa Shitteru yo. They were $19 each, plus tax, so a little over $40 total. The Love Live ones they had for sale are below (plus some Kalafina and other animu CDs and soundtracks I couldn't edit out of the shot:

Wanted the Aqours art book as well to obsess over all the URs and other cards I don't have yet, but I need to get paid first, and I wanted to save some cash for food as well as other stuff I might want to get there, plus a trip to Artist Alley.

An hour or so later, after spending some time over at the Aniplex booth a short distance away looking at Fate stuff (and meeting the head translator of Fate Grand Order and getting info on events coming soon to EN) and their official cosplayers, I look across the aisle, and see the Bandai Visual booth, with a complete Love Live Sunshine display, complete with much more CDs, a bunch of blind boxes, a TV playing Sunshine season 2 trailers and promos from the subunit seiyuus and Ainya as the official US poster girl, a keychain set featuring the worldwide poster girls, Koi ni Naritai Aquarium costume character flags, and other stuff. They even had a bunch of copies of the Aqours Club passports alongside Landing Action Yeah!, but I couldn't afford the $50 for it unfortunately.

The worst part was that their CDs were only $15 each with no tax... So I wasted $10 on CDs at Kino that I could've spent on more merch. And Kino has no returns on CDs either, so there's no way I'm getting that back. Said Bandai Visual booth is also right near the main entrance of the show floor, but I came in through the path closer to the panel rooms, so I came across the Kino booth first... orz

Decided to pick up Yumede Yozora wo Terashitai/Mijuku Dreamer there, since it was available and to sooth my feelings of losing out on a deal... All purchases of Love Live stuff came with a year subgroup Kimi no Kokoro costume sticker promoting the new season too, got the First years.

Then on Sunday, I went back and picked up the Yohane flag and one of the poster girl tin button blind boxes, which the Love Live gatcha gods decided to give me UK Yohane as well. So blessed.

Got another first year sticker with the purchase, but since I already had that one, the guy behind the counter was kind enough to swap it for the third years instead when I asked.

So this is now my Love Live Aqours CD collection, which I'd like to continue adding to at other cons (or at Kino if I get over getting charged more):

And my Love Live merch collection, minus my nesos and pillow, which I wasn't able to add to this con.

A bunch of booths only had Chika nesos left when I went to check on Saturday afternoon. Apparently, there were Dias and Kanans available earlier in the Con on a Friday, but they sold quickly and I wasn't able to get any. I think Dia was $40, which is a bit pricey for me, but I guess I spent that much for my Yohane Mijuku Dreamer pillow, so maybe that's not too steep next time I see one for sale.

There was also a physical gatcha machine and UFO catchers at the Tokyo Otaku Mode booth that had tons of Love Live stuff available. I saw two people win Mijuku Dreamer Maru and Riko pillows in their Love Live a Sunshine gatcha, alongside a couple of keychains. I might've been tempted to get the 5 tokens for a spin of the gatcha at $2 a token, but most of the pillows were already gone, and I didn't want another keychain. Maybe I should've tried it, but I needed to save money for food on Sunday afternoon.

Also made it to Artist Alley way too late, there was a bunch of Love Live stuff I wanted to pick up ethere from some great artists I had been following, but again, I needed my paycheck to clear, and I had already spent a bit too much this con. Oh well, next con, I guess, or just order them online...

Also, the Seoul fan meeting stuff is great, that Aiai hanbok is amazingly well made and I was amazed when the guy at the Bandai booth showed it to me. So many people bought the Ruby worldwide poster girl keychain there because of it apparently.

Oh, and of course, Guilty Kiss sold the most CDs there.

It was nice finally meeting you at Anime NYC. Thanks for keeping us company before the Miku concert. It was a fun con even if I spent too much money.

The best vendor for LL merch (also a lot of IM@S too) was the Collectors Anime LLC booth.

The Ruby Mystery Box I picked up was a good deal.

Yeah, it was good to finally meet you too. You should've said something to let me know it was you on the Miku line, I didn't know it was you until I heard you introducing yourself to other people after the LiSA concert. Anyway, it was my pleasure to hang with you guys until the Miku line started loading into the room during the previous panel, which I guess inflated their numbers quite a lot. Looks like they needed it too, what even was that panel about? Some sort of black manga artist and his series or something?

Speaking of both, I didn't get to see much other either concert because they pulled me over to work the Masquerade during the latter, and was taking a ton of photos of cosplayers at the Aniplex booth during the former during their cosplay meetup. But yeah, that was a good gathering. Didn't get a chance to roll in their gatcha though, had to help clear Artist Alley.

It really looks like I missed out on a great time at the LiSA concert, from what I heard, and what I saw of the Miku concert was pretty pumping. Still, working the Masquerade was pretty good, both of the best performance awards went to Love Live groups, the beginner one doing Dancing Stars on Me, and the Intermediate winning off of Binetsu Kara Mystery, which was really well done. The interstitial games when the judges were making their decision clearly went on too long, but we got a great Starlord winning a dance off to an idol song to claim a prize when he involved both the MC Uncle Yo and the audience in his routine. Escorting to the backstage area to help him get the Crunchyroll bag with his prize replaced after it broke scored me a copy of Eva 3.33 when they were just giving out DVDs and stuff to him and his friends in that room there as thanks for giving them such a viral thing to promo on their social media feeds, and I got in on the windfall luckily, when one of them was going to take both Eva and something else and I mentioned that the only thing there I wanted was Eva after the staff person was wondering why I didn't get in on the swag being offered, they let me have it.

Also looks like I missed out on a great booth to get idol stuff at, I think I walked right past it or didn't even go down that aisle area. I just didn't really have enough time to explore the show floor or Artist Alley, too busy working and stuff. Looks like I missed out on a lot there... Still, if I had more time and bought stuff because of it, my wallet would probably be yelling at me a lot more if I had any funds left since I'm still waiting for some paychecks to clear.

Still would've liked to add to my neso collection. As for Sakura, that's a good photo to be taking with that neso and standee. I also see that Mash clear file set from the Aniplex booth beneath your Ruby stuff in your haul photo. Is that also that Kizuna Ai pillowcase that one booth was selling I see in the top right, or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

Am I going to be seeing you for Heaven's Feel at Village East tomorrow, or have you already seen it earlier this week? The head translator for Grand Order was talking about it during the cosplay meet up, about how some cosplayers were likely missing because they were seeing the first screening right then and there instead of at the con. I forgot to buy tickets and tomorrow is the only time I was going to be in the city this weekend, so I gotta see if they'll let me buy a ticket at the box office tomorrow if there's still room left.

Figured as much. There were only 2 booths I saw on the show floor selling outright NSFW dakis (and one risqué but otherwise SFW booth in Artist Alley, but it's very possible I missed one or two), and it didn't look like the ones that the guys selling hentai doujin were hawking, so I figured it was the one making the dakis themselves. Guess I recognized the image from when I walked past on Saturday. You're a braver man than me dropping $70 or so on a daki like that.

Also, is that a full size Yohane sleeping in the shark hammock plushie next to it in your shot of the daki? Man, you must not have any room on your bed anymore if you also have nesos... My bed is more than half full of close to ten years of Con shirts and nesos and a Yohane pillow and other plushies...

Also also, finally saw some video of the Seoul fan meeting where the Korean fans did the Yosoroad (complete with Shuka choking up during that bit and hitching in her singing) and the Kananrail. Man, I really wish they'd come to NYC, because I know there's enough of a East Coast crowd that would be there and totally be down to do that sort of thing here as well.

That is indeed the Yoshiko Shark Bed. Takes up a little more than half of a queen sized bed. Paid way too much on shipping to get it to the States. If I knew the final shipping price I probably wouldn't have bought the shark, but having bought it all I could do was pay up. Makes me wonder how much the TJNN nesos are going to cost since they also would be oversized shipping.
