Bought a game called "Rebel Galaxy" from Steam yesterday for $4.99. I then proceeded to play it for 5 hours straight, so even if I never played it again I got my moneys worth out of it. It's kind of a space cowboy trucker sort of thing, and the soundtrack is pretty solid (reminds me often of Borderlands). Probably be playing it today until it's time to head out for Thanksgiving dinner. Happy Thanksgiving goons.

Not sure if anyone else has BeamNG.drive here but the new update has a new map called West Coast USA that kicks rear end and seems like a big step forward. It murders my computer though.

Oh my good fuckin god. An old friend of mine is getting married and honestly I never thought he'd find a woman able to put up with his poo poo. But what makes it notable is that his fiance has convinced him to combine their last names. I won't put his real name but here's how it breaks down. His last name - Brand Her last name - Anderson New last name - Branderson The hell man?

Huge caveat though: needs to be truly home made from scratch....as in, right from a whole pumpkin. None of this canned pumpkin bullshit like most everyone uses, even the "good" store made ones. The difference is truly night and day.

You also need to find a proper sugar pumpkin as well if you're going this route and not just a field pumpkin that is grown to be good jack o'lantern and that's it (and thus are totally flavourless).

The real pie here is pecan with a cup of black coffee. Breakfast of champions right there.

I hate pecan pie because I hate pecans, and the ex (what do I call her?) brought home a store bought pecan pie and like three cans of whipped cream from her in-laws and said "eat this." Even though I hate it, I tried. The top was lovely burnt pecans and the inside was 100% caramel garbage. That's not what it's supposed to be, right?

Also when we found out you have to do it outside of marriage, why isn't it a part of getting married lmao

I wish someone in my family would step up and make a good pie. My mom hates cooking so we had a "good" frozen Dutch apple.

QuarkMartial posted:Okay, we can argue about pies, but can we agree that Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is the Thanksgiving movie? Yeah it's pretty excellent. John Candy owns. I just dropped over $1200 bucks on parts for my Rugger. Full set of new leaf springs, absorbers, full set of poly bushings and a set of front rotors/discs. The price is so high because about half of that is transport costs because lol driving a thing that was never sold in the USA lol. I spoke about it in the import thread but http://www.japanese4x4spares.co.uk is the only shop in the U.K that would sell to me in the USA. I contacted Milner and they were helpful but ??? couldn't ship to the USA. K.S. International just flat out told me that "it wouldn't be worth it" for me to buy parts from them because shipping would be too much. Shows how much they know because I'm eating the transport costs with Japanese 4x4 Spares now aren't I? I don't have a choice and have to source my parts somewhere, OEM parts are stratospherically expensive and outside of Fourtraks in the U.K. I'd have to source parts from Indonesia for their version. Not that i'm against Indonesia but they are further away and the language barrier. Point is Daihatsu Ruggers/Fourtraks are cool as gently caress and I very much appreciate the patience that Rob at Japanese 4x4 showed me. A+++ will buy again.

25.75L/100km from a 1.6L engine? loving kill me now. Shouldn't it be blowing smoke and drops of raw fuel, and have oil contaminated enough to run the engine off? Worst efficiency ever from the Niva, and that's after all the U joints were greased, two replaced, and two CVs rebuilt. It definitely rolls better than ever but goddamn what?
