The_Rob posted:No that's absolute bullshit. Folgers is generally over roasted and pre ground which effects the taste. You won't get a truly decent cup unless you grind it there and brew it properly. Then it depends on taste. A more balanced cup you will probably want a Colombian or Costa Rican because it's going to be more notes of chocolate and nuts. Where as coffees from like Nicaragua or Ethiopia you're going to get a more bright coffee meaning you'll get more acidity and fruit notes. It's not a placebo effect at all. It's very easy to tell an over roasted pre ground coffee from a freshly ground properly roasted coffee. On the broader subject, I think the thing about food annoyances (steak, coffee, whatever) is that after going through the effort to say this sort of stuff (and with a straight face, no less, since I count at least a handful of times where this website becomes helpful), the audience they are preaching to is still going to like their coffee/steak/whatever the way they've always done it. It's not really about being annoyed that X is being done to Y, it's about having the behind the Right Way to do something, but the person you're preaching to gives no respect/appreciation towards that Right Way. Oh sure, they claim they don't care, but being all / about a food's preparation belies that.

My unpopular opinion on tipping is that I wish tipping was just that - a tip - but it's defacto supplement for a person's wages, so you tip properly or don't go out. e: and no, there is literally nobody in the world that would use the tip-is-just-a-tip system to to actually tip. They'd just say "they are earning their paycheck" and not tip at all. MisterBibs has a new favorite as of 03:08 on Nov 25, 2017 |

Having worked a few jobs where I relied on tips I can say that people who don't tip are like like 1 out of every 500. So it always amazes me that the ratio of goons that don't tip seems to be like 1/4.

In my case, I’m pretty sure an old-fashioned doctor damaged the gently caress out of my stuff when I was a toddler though, not because of phimosis. My dick was terrifying for awhile there. Also, it hurt. Double-also, it was weird having it done at an age where I had/have a solid recollection of the “before” to compare to the “after.” Woo!

Goons have a weird habit of attributing everything to malice instead of ignorance. Tipping is because people love to lord it over poors (and all servers are destitute of course, not say, yuppie college kids. People who go to restaurants have never been servers, because they are Rich and not Poor) Weird anime is aimed at and made by pedos, not aimed at japanese children and co-opted by internet weirdos Everyone who votes republican is Scrooge McDuck if he was a klansman, because of course there are no people in the rural south who have no idea how systematic racism works or have been duped into believing in suplly-side economics Also, unrelated, but if you have strong opinions about circumcision you’re 100% a weirdo. In like 99.9% of cases, the only impact of the decision to cut or not will be sex partners possibly being surprised if your dick is in the local minority.

The only one I don't agree with being goon-hyperboled is the anime one. No, not all anime is made for/watched by pedos, but there sure is a hell of a lot of it aimed directly at people who want to gently caress little girls/boys. The ones that do aren't even subtle about it. They know who their audience is and it's not japanese children.
