I played this game for like 20 hours in 2015 and I thought it was pretty cool. What the hell happened since then to now where it looks like the company imploded on itself? I thought microtransactions were supposed to be cash cows?

Gaz had the same problem that EA had with their hero characters in battlefront, they could not sell small cosmetic items because everything had to be approved by disney who wants the characters to be recognizable which meant that most players just got the one costume that they liked for their character and then they were done buying them.
