I would say check your paperwork, as well as check current offers as well as the fine print. There is usually a really good Intro offer that goes up after a year or something. Similar to Cable deals. However I know they keep offering me to go to their new Unlimited Everything SERO Replacement which after some "discounts" or whatever, keeps it at $60 per line. However taxes and fees might kick that up another $10 as well. Don't care to chance it because I don't call enough and root gets me tethering with no limits.

Looks like Sprint has jumped into the free video service fight by giving away limited commercial Hulu accounts through 12/8 https://techcrunch.com/2017/11/15/sprint-adds-free-hulu-service-to-its-unlimited-freedom-plan/

This worked with my SERO account and my existing Hulu account. It said I will no longer be billed by hulu and that my subscription is included with my Sprint account. Thanks for saving me $8 a month.

Tried to add Hulu and it wanted me to remove the unlimited mobile to mobile minutes included with my SERO plan. Edit: got it added through web chat. bigpolar fucked around with this message at 16:31 on Nov 18, 2017 |

It was an unbelievable pain in the rear end to sign up for the free account. If you’re on an iPhone don’t use safari to do it. Just use chrome/Firefox or else you can end up stuck in a loop where it doesn’t recognize that you added the service.

FYI it seems like you have to go to that sprint URL through your phone, which is unfortunate because their website does not scale well on phones. Otherwise, the yellow button will say Show Now instead of Add Now or whatever it was.

I signed up for Hulu through my SERO plan and boy they have a lot of commercials in their "limited commercials" plan.

It says I have to remove unlimited text on my sero plan I'll try web chat edit: wow pretty impressed with web chat. That took all of 2 minutes, no wait. They had me go to https://www.hulu.com/sprint on my phone and register through there. Worked great. Thanks for posting in here about it. In general, Verizon will refuse to activate a non-Verizon CDMA device. You can check here, though: https://www.verizonwireless.com/bring-your-own-device/#checkDevice

I'm on SERO 500. Can I just add a new iphone (along with the stupid monthly payment) to my account or will Sprint balk unless I change plans?

You should be able to use an upgrade and purchase whatever phone on Lease, but when you activate, I always call the Sero Support number to make sure the don't touch my plan whatsoever. So far it's been no problem.

Is there still a support escalation phone # or is there still an equivalent to the old Consumerist Executive Customer Service Hotline that exists? I escaped from Sprint years back but my father in law just left after a horrible experience and sprint has locked his old phone so he can’t sell it or unlock it. The trouble first started when he noticed two charges for “phone replacement insurance deductible”. He didn’t know what was going on really and apparently failed to explain properly that his phone was not lost or stolen and he did not get a replacement. In subsequent conversations with support it was revealed that the phone was replaced at a retail store in Philly (he lives in Iowa and has never been to Philly). This all happened around August and seemed like an easy issue to resolve since he still was using his original phone. Apparently Sprint never acknowledged that they allowed him to be defrauded and left the charge on the bill along with his phone payment payoff amount with the understanding that the phone would be unlocked. Exasperated and disgusted he paid the balance and ported his # to Verizon but found when trying to trade into Verizon that a lock was still on the phone and hasn’t been able to sell his old iPhone 7+. I found out around thanksgiving that he had paid up but the phone was still locked, so I contacted Sprintcare on twitter and seemed to get some kind of response for a bit, but then they thought the account was mine and wanted me to sign into sprint through twitter to verify my identity, which would help since I am bitching on behalf of the account holder. At that point My wife and I told him to contest the charges on his credit card, which the cc company decided in his favor. Today Sprint sent a letter saying he had new charges on his bill, which was the previously disputed amount. Tl;dr version: Sprint gave replacement phone random dude, charged FIL for it and won’t release the phone b/c its stolen.

I jumped on the iPhone X, as I’m on the unlimited iPhone for life deal. Unfortunately, my wife will be coming off her parents plan and this might be a good time to jump ship to another carrier. I’m guessing my only option if I wanted to leave would be to trade in the phone and pay off what the trade in value doesn’t cover? She sees my lack of coverage in a major metropolitan area and is hesitant to join my plan.

Try a PRL/Profile update? I had a similar issue with the Essential Phone in the past. Also check your APN settings and reset them to default incase something got fudged. That broke mine when I played with them once as nothing in the essential phone looks the same as other Android devices.

One of Sprints biggest fumbles was trying to launch first with 4G Service by going with WiMAX on the 2500Mhz. The biggest issue was no one could get coverage inside buildings. So with 5G upcoming, guess what frequency Sprint is using: http://www.phonescoop.com/articles/article.php?a=19952 Yeah, that’ll go well.

I didn't, but I have TEP. Unfortunately I have to pay more for the deductible that I did for the phone itself. I do have a case for it now though, I've learned my lesson.

When I last insured my phone, I went with Squaretrade instead of Sprints TEP. It was an easier process and cheaper ($99 for 2 years on my old S4). But now I scoff at insurance since I buy last years phone at half the original asking price. And I'm not using a case either. Muahahahahaha.

Anyone have experience with taking their phones to not Canada and Mexico, in my case it will be Paris, and using the international phone/data addon? I'll be there for two weeks for work and my company is letting me expense it, but just wanted to know how reliable and quality it is. I have a S7 if that matters at all.
