My girlfriend in her 20s told me she's done stuff with other guys before, and while it doesn't bother me like a normal person, apparently it's driven one or two guys off. I just can't imagine that being a deal breaker, especially once you get out of high school.

So if you haven't kept up with why the price of bitcoin is so high, here's a quick rundown. In addition to all the exchanges that have been "hacked" and closed, the largest current exchange has been hacked before, too. Bitfinex responded to the hack by just shaving everyone's account by a flat rate. Regulators and customers obviously not happy about this push for a better solution. Bitfinex issues some junk token to cover losses and tries to pump bitcoin price to satisfy it. Once again problematic, so the owner starts up a new company called tether and claims these not-coins are backed 1:1 with real currency. At one point they have an audit that shows there is money in some accounts, but none is actually earmarked and segregated and a large chunk was actually in a lawyer's trust account. Since that point there have been over 700 million tethers issued. They don't have the cash to issue them and have been issuing them based on other crypto they've received. So right now bitfinex has no way to withdraw USD. If you put money in, the best you can do is buy inflated bitcoins and sell them elsewhere. The bitfinex people keep pushing out tethers to hold the price, but the buy wall is extremely shallow and could collapse instantly if any large bagholder tried to sell. To add onto the tether bullshit, bitfinex also allows wash trading. This is where someone buys their own sell order. This is used entirely to pump price. Likewise they allow margin trading on bitcoin and can gently caress with the price enough to margin call everyone on a whim and have done so in the past. The house of cards is going to tumble hard when it does finally come down.

I basically used BitCoin as a quick way to double money in the last 3 months, i bought like £200 in august and now thats worth about £800, if it hits £1k im cashing out the profit and leaving the initial investment in. Then will go buy a holiday or something with that.

Tethers are my favorite goxbux, because they literally say on their site that they are not redeemable for anything, but nobody wants to be the bagholder at the end so everyone just enters a shared hallucination where oh yeah, I can get 1:1 USD for tethers!

Did you see where the owner accidentally let the cat out of the bag? Outside of their laughable "audit" he flat said they're issuing new tethers based on crypto holdings not just USD. So all of the tethers are just being issued now backed by the higher price of crypto because of the glut of tethers issued to pump the price. It's an ouroboros ponzi.
