A real lack of actual spoilers has caused me to lapse into Porgamania these last few weeks, but I assure you, i’m looking every day for new stuff to post in here. I hope the spoilers pick up in the next week in a half. Like I said earlier in the thread, Disney has really cracked down on leaks this time around. It’s quite impressive, really.

He tosses it ahead of himself and to the left. In the next shot from over the emperors shoulder you can see it would have landed near the bottom of the steps that lead up to the throne.

Would make zero sense thematically. It was his final decision to not join the dark side, leaving the Emperor no choice but to kill him. This wouldn't have occurred if he just threw it on the floor. It also mirrors when he resigned to just die when he let himself fall down the interior of cloud city when Vader offered his hand.

I have a lingering suspicion Serkis is a total charlatan (I know the actual animators dispute how important the mocap performers actually are), but he's a decent enough actor/voice actor so WHATEVER.
