Oh yeah, there was a banner or something Pull #1: Agrias LMR, dupe Ramza SSB (reforge) Pull #2: Marche USB x2 Pull #3: Marche BSB, Marche LMR x2, Agrias LMR dupe. Yeah ok, I'll take a complete-where-it-matters Marche, and that Agrias LMR to go with her full dive.  I wanted Ramza's stuff more, but I guess I can take a shot at them later. Agrias USB would have been a solid 5/5 Waifu-pull too, but alas.

I went 7/33 and got Ramza USB, Ramza SSB, Ramza LMR, Marche BSB and Agrias LMR. I'm tempted to spend my remaining 100 mthril chasing shout or an Agrias drop but it's probably a bad idea

Banner 2 of that event has Ramza USB, Meliadoul's stuff, and Agrias' stuff.

I picked up what I wanted from Tactics (Agrias USB/LMR, Ramza BSB2/LMR)and still had a pull worth of mythril left, so I drunkpulled on the FFX banner and got Tidus USBx2, Tidus BSB2, and Tidus LMR. This is a pretty significant upgrade from my previous Tidus (SB and nothing else). I feel like it maybe justifies legend diving Tidus now? It sounds like people have done some damage with a legend dived Tidus USB and a decently honed Sapphire Shot.

Never pull. Regarding the earlier discussion about Beatrix LD: Beatrix has a good dive. Her BSB1 is old as hell and mostly only useful for the entry and a free sentinel. However BSB2 is quite decent and USB is super strong since it's of the "chase damage based on ability rank" variety. Get a R5 guardbringer and watch the world burn from holy light. So diving Beatrix because you have BSB1 probably isn't a sound reasoning but she's a fine dive without any SBs because of how strong Guardbringer is and how good the doublecast LM2s are. So just pull her USB and you go from fine dive to excellent dive.

I wish I could lock the soul breaks for a character (or put SBs in the vault).

so with the changes to how much soul juice abilities give you is my strategy of putting lifesiphon and wrath in the second slot of everyone who can use them for every fight obsolete or is that still the de rigueur method for dealing with things

I'm going to forever regret mastering Yoshi-Cola's USB, which the game believes is a higher priority SB than Asylum, Aetherial Pulse, or Stoneskin II. Force of habit in clicking where I think Asylum is in the SB menu has caused a few accidental USB's through muscle memory.

3/22 Marche BSB, Meliadoul BSB, Agrias LMR. None of the big prizes but Agrias LMR is pretty nice. I have her BSB already so once I can fully dive her she'll be my one stop shop for knight damage and holy imperil. I wish Meliadoul's BSB was better since I have a soft spot for her. Is Marche's BSB any good? The attack/mind buff is unique to me at least, but I'm not sure if that plus the 15% damage boost to knight abilities pushes him past my bevy of other holy damage options. Guess it might be useful against earth weak battles.

Decide based on character and SBs. There's no one truth. Raines BSB or Rosa USB are still fine wrathers. Generally speaking it's more useful to do something useful between SBs.

come to think of it i think i've realized the answer to my own question is the fact that all my 5* hones are garbage so except in a couple of cases i don't have better abilities to bring instead of lifesiphons anyway

4/33: Marche BSB, SSB Meliandoul BSB Ramza LMR This Meliandoul BSB looks like an insane amount of -ATK - can't wait for the next ATK-heavy boss and watch him take 3 stacking break(downs). I really want to rage pull another but I'm saving for now.

Doublecast works on Agrias' BSB commands for 2,5 potency capped at 20k damage because two hits (1,25 each). But remember that you can just cast the ability 5* Guardbringer for 4 potency. Capped at 40k due four hits. Pretty much the optimal way to use Agrias BSB is cast it, cast CMD1 once for sentinel and then spam Guardbringer. Sentinel+Protectga+Wall is pretty much guaranteed to give enough def for 4hit guardbringers. Guardbringer is getting a buff soon too since the game balancing is done by the 11/11 DeNa intern.

Guardbringer is so good I'm considering honing up a second copy since I've got BSBs for Agrias, Beatrix, and Marche, and Marche's USB. Is that a dumb idea? Mostly I want it so I can work on whittling my Shadow Dragon time down so I have a reliable method of farming dark orbs, but I dunno if that's worth it, or if there are other skills coming soon that are just as good.

First pull-- 1/11 Marche bsb. gently caress that. Second-- 2/11, Ramza USB and Marche USB. Hell yes!! Marche USB is supposed to be good and always wanted another Ramza sb to complement Shout.

It's surprising that Saint Cross doesn't get a foreseeable buff to 4 hits, because even Guardbringer gets buffed to a maximum of 5 hits. I mean Heavy Regen is kinda cool if the enemy Saps a lot but... that's it. It is notable that Guardbringer is weaker than Saint Cross if you can't get the 4-hit threshold, outside of capping issues.

A cool thing about Ramza's LMR is that if you bring him to a boss that likes to talk a lot at the start (like literally every FFT boss if you bring Ramza), then you actually get to input his first command while the boss is talking and the ATB is paused for zero time loss.
