I’m glad I watched in its entirety today, because I found it very strong and compelling. It’s not saying both sides are equally bad. To make some strawman or exaggeration like jew-nazi is missing a, if not the whole point, of trying to hear someone out before rushing to judgement. Joyner Lucas isn't saying what *they* think he should have said. This is performative wokeness, but from a different angle. Instead of guilt riddled white people, Lucas is expected to play an angry black man willing to attack whiteness at the drop of a hat. I'm sure if the song was just the black voice, nobody would care. The fact that Lucas gave the white guy a voice was the only trigger needed to offend some people. The two voices is what makes the song unique and effective. YouTube rationals think that all arguments can be reduced into concrete, mathematical paradigms that can be reasoned with binary logic while failing to understand the spectrum of ideas that goes along with social issues. Ironically, they call social sciences “not real science”, while also not understanding that the concepts are only simplistic when taken in a vacuum, and that hundreds if not thousands of unquantifiable variables need to be taken into account, including concepts from outside of that particular realm of social science, to make an accurate model of the issue being discussed. So instead of understanding that it’s much easier to say “look at this women’s studies teacher, what a hack fraud” and then call your opponent out for making an appeal to authority or whatever because it makes you sound really smart in front of your fans.
