I’m confused about people’s reactions to his tweet today. I thought Flynn’s communications with Kislyak got leaked, proving that he had mislead Pence, and then he was fired as a result. A quick internet search shows pretty much the same. He’s not really admitting to anything we didn’t already now, right?

"I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI," What he originally said was, 'I fired him because of what he said to Mike Pence' Lying to Pence isn't related to obstruction of justice, but lying to the FBI investigation is.

Do you understand why a leak, in other words a rumor, is different than a statement that can be directly associated via records (i.e. trumfs tweet) to the witness saying it?
