I want to get into im@s music but I'm not sure where to start. I have a place where I can buy a lot of different compilation albums but I'm not sure which one to get. I see ones called The IdolM@ster 765 Pro All Stars+ Greatest Best and there are 3 different versions of it. Along with a ton of other albums. Any suggestions on where I should start?

Those are pretty good collections, though that's assuming you do want 765 Pro (original im@s, anime was in 2011) and not Cinderella Girls (mobile games, anime was in 2015) which is what you're more likely to have heard for 'im@s music' in recent years. The channel we idolwatch in plays imas MVs 24/7 when it's not otherwise in use (with some vocaloid MVs mixed in), maybe check some of that out to see what you're after. Though really, jp media prices are insane, my advice is to listen in other ways and support the franchise by spending your money on other things.

I got two of those 2x15 albums for 3000 yen each so they're pretty reasonable but prices for single releases do tend to be more problematic, at least when new.

I was hoping to the shift the thread into becoming a general idol thread if there was enough activity  Though not enough of us are up to date on aikatsu or pripara to really justify it I guess.

I haven't even looked at the new pripara yet. I understand it has a rice cooker. I also have like, half a week to go through a month and a half of aikatsu, to be caught up for what should be the Can't wait~

It's fully self-contained and the story is surprisingly super tight. Every episode contributes something to the plot but it never feels like it's rushing you through the story either, developing every character and giving them room to breathe and be goofy. It's the one where they can summon magic instruments in their ice skating shows I think all of the pretty rhythms have crazy limit break attacks as part of their shows though
