People do it because once someone accepts that sort of social control over themselves they'll let you control all sorts of things about them. just in case anyone was as confused as i was, this removes the stay the lower courts had imposed, not a ruling on merit. still, an awful decision cause this version of the EO is indefinite, so a lot of people are hosed until this eventually does go to the Supreme Court.

To be clear the fight over the muslim ban is not over, the Supreme Court is still allowing the challenges (well can't disallow them more like) that are stuck in lower courts. It 'only' allows this ban to go in place while all of that goes on. Which could take a long time of course, but those challenges to the ban do still exist and need to be dealt with. e: Oops missed Whoops beating me here.

Like I get that for a bunch of companies it just wouldn't help them at all because they were paying at the AMT already, but I don't understand how it raises it (I also don't understand almost anything about taxes, if online tax forms didn't exist I'm sure I would have accidently committed tax fraud years ago and be in jail now).
