The one thing I'd really love for Reaper would be the ability to cancel out of the animation any time until your position actually changes, both for fakeouts and "oh poo poo I breathed on my mouse and now I'm teleporting to an entirely different spot"

The issue is that on a slope or stairs, moving your crosshair up affects where the the wall ends up a lot more than it does than on flat ground. It throws you off a little.

There's already a gigantic blue shadow centered in the middle of your screen that shows you exactly where it's going to go! If you make the game deploy Mei walls in an arc like Orisa's shields, the only issue you're solving is deploying them at higher elevations. At range, it would make it really awkward using them in hallways at longer distances, and a frustrating experience in general to put one more than five feet into entrances to rooms if you're too far away. Unless of course you let the arc clip through walls while still placing your wall at the target, but at that point you've entirely defeated the purpose of having an arc in the first place. I would totally understand if you meant an arcing line in addition to the shadow or something but giving them wall's trajectory a curve so you can arc it over objects like an Orisa shield is a way bigger deal than you're saying here. Sorry, I just play a lot of Mei so this whole thing really jumped out at me.

I just promoted to Plat for the first time, with a hard-fought 4-3 comeback on Anubis. I got 30 loving SR for that win. I love Moira so much, new main forever~ High mobility, high survivability AOE battle healer is like a dream come true, and her evil scientist characterization is the cherry on top. You'd have to nerf her into the absolute dirt to get me to stop maining her.

Mercy is great and I'm learning fast through the experienced members of my group. I used to hammer on the Left Shift before being told you can cancel the fly by hitting shift again. Now I can smoothly fly as far as the range of it without stopping, and keep moving. I also got to try out the Pharah/Mercy combo and boy was that fun.

There's a setting in options where you can make the ability work while you are holding the key down, and stop when you let go of it. I have it bound to one of my mouse side buttons, it's nice.

Did they make any significant changes to netcode this year? Last time I played over a year ago, the game is practically unplayable now, I'm constantly backtracked, what the gently caress happened? My connection is mediocre but e.g. Destiny works flawlessly on both EU and NA.

Well, it was a fun few days of FFA while it lasted, now we've got the full poo poo map pool again. I just played a game on hollywood with doomfist and spent half the game just listening to hanzos, widows, genjis, pharahs and a winston having all out war on the rooftops, while i was wandering all alone, waiting for elevators or my stupid uppercut cooldown

You can't tell who has what latency either thanks to Blizzard's Obfuscate Everything policy. It's pretty easy to replicate the related issues in this game as well: just play any class that as a high-velocity movement ability (Doomfist, Pharah, Junk etc) and watch the kill cams. You'll notice a lot of deaths where you activated your ability and died a second later, only for the replay to show that you never activated said ability. I also supposedly have a 25ms connection to west-coast servers, but it feels comparable to 125ms in any Source engine game like Counter-Strike.
