This is the best thing I've seen in college football this year. I hope he had it hooked up to a car battery in the back and left it on when he was parked.

When Purdue fired Leon Burtnett, they hired Ron Meyer....he was a easy pick, Purdue grad and someone who had coached and recruited for Purdue bringing in guys like Darryl Stingley, Mike Phipps and Dave Butz. Somewhere on his way to sign the deal the Colts got ahold of him and he ended up coaching them instead. Purdue ended up with Fred Akers. Don't tell me about your feelings VolNation.

Josh Jackson has a chance to be the second Iowa cornerback in 3 seasons to win the Thorpe tonight (I’ll be pretty pissed if he doesn’t win; he leads FBS in INTs and pass breakups, and has the best PFF rating for any defensive back if you care about that). He came into Iowa as a 2 star WR. The last Thorpe winner from Iowa, Des King, was a last second flip from Ball State. Phil Parker is really good at his job.

Are we doing a different pickem for the bowls? Weird I finished outside the top ten on the straight up pick em, but top five in the ATS pick em. I need to pick up a sports gambling habit.

I missed a couple weeks but was straight up bad this season at pick em. Not mediocre just bad.

Liberty Bowl has sold out, which is pretty cool. Still gonna be more or less a home game for Memphis but the stadium should be at least a quarter full of Iowa State fans.

I know I joked about this before but it turns out Iowa State fans genuinely are incredibly excited about the Bass Pro Shops pyramid

B: are you excited for the giant bass pro shop

It's got fake swamp-style hunting lodges on what used to be the upper deck of the arena where idiots pay to stay. And alligators in the fake river where they sell the boats.

My source is knowing lots of Iowa State fans and being related to several of them. Folks are hype. It’s on the official ISU Facebook and everything. This is only shade in the sense that it confirms an ISU stereotype in an amusing way. As someone who has been known to murder defenseless woodland creature myself I would definitely also visit and enjoy the bass pro shop pyramid.

College athletes love Jesus and hunting at a rate about 10,000% higher than the rest of the college aged population.

Our team is way more country and has way more farm kids because we tend to recruit almost exclusively from the Midwest. It’s flipped with the alumni/fanbase since ISU is the ag school (I mean it’s a matter of degree, Iowa still gets lots of farm kids relative to, like, UCLA).
